  1. Thanks for the screenshots. Try the following: Delete the folder C:\Programme\BattleForge\SkylordsRebornUpdater Delete the folder C:\Programme\BattleForge\docs Start the executable: C:\Programme\BattleForge\SkylordsRebornClient\BattleForge\SkylordsRebornUpdater.exe If this doesn't work, you should try to move the whole C:\Programme\BattleForge to a different location like C:\BattleForge. The problem here is, that all subdirectories in C:\Programme and C:\Programme itself are write protected for normal users. If you don't want to move it to another location and the Updater still has problems, you can try to start the Updater via right click onto it and hit "Start as administrator". But I highly suggest to move the whole game to the mentioned location. Pro tip: Don't forget to fix your shortcut(s) on the desktop if you created any.
  2. Can you post a screenshot of how your BattleForge game directory looks like? It seems that you manually installed the game (so without using the setup) or you moved the files to a wrong position.
  3. Can you try to manually create a directory called "docs" in the BattleForge game directory? See if this works for you. If it doesn't, you probably have some permission errors in your file system. If the directory is already there, try to create a simple text file in it and post the result.
  4. Works perfectly fine for me. Try to remove all files in the base\pak subdirectory which start with "sr-".
  5. @Kubik Can you check that dump file? Closed due to double posting.
  6. Can you upload the log files of the game which can be found in C:\<User>\Documents\BattleForge\Diag\_log_proxy_latest.log. Also upload the crashdata.mdmp file if there is any.
  7. Could you check if you have a file called SkylordRebornUpdater.exe.upd? If yes, try to manually rename it to SkylordRebornUpdater.exe. Do the same with every other *.upd file in your directory if there are any. Then start the Updater again. If this doesn't work, you can execute the setup again and use the "Custom installation" method to only install the Updater components again.
  8. Our server seems fine. I just checked that myself. If it would have problems, I guess we would've more posts like yours. In some rare cases I noticed though, that the anti virus is checking all files upon download. So maybe do a quick view into your task manager for some high CPU usage of your anti virus. Keep in mind, that Windows has a built in anti virus called Defender. Was it on the same machine where it took 20 minutes and 5 hours or were these different machines? If it were different machines, it might be your hardware which has problems in general (like your hard drive maybe). Of course 5 hours shouldn't be only hardware related. But these are the most common issues I have in mind right now besides your ISP. ISPs regulate the speed when they detect that you're executing a speed test. Did you try to download some other files from another server? Did that go well?
  9. Yes that's the reason. All your cards are stored on the server. It doesn't matter on which machine you play. But since the server got reset, you cards and other things are also gone. But there won't be another reset.
  10. There has been a reset on the 18th December 2020 due to the full release of the game. Maybe your friend did play a few matches after that and that's why he still has all his cards and upgrades. There won't be another reset in the future. So you can be sure that everything you get right now will always be in your inventory. Happy grinding 🙂
  11. If a USB mouse is working as usual, it's an indicator, that there hasn't been any changes within the game. Actually it would require a lot of work to change the scroll wheel behavior (if it is possible at all - I'm not a client dev so I can't tell you). The difference looks more like a driver related problem of your touch pad and is probably just a coincidence. You can try to change the direction in which you have to scroll via the Windows mouse settings. Then you can check if it has any effect on the game.
  12. You can try that. But all possible resolutions should be able to select in the options menu. If the resolution is not possible because there were some removed IIRC, you can simply set it back to another one either via the config or via the options menu. It does for sure not crash your computer in a way that you can't recover it. You might have to restart it if the game hangs.
  13. The game has been reset upon release on 18. December 2020. This has been mentioned very often before. You can get cards by playing the game and earning BFP. Also doing achievements is a great way to get BFP and/or boosters. You will be able to build a good deck within a few days. So keep grinding 🙂
  14. Reinstalling is an option, of course. But beforehand you should try to make a clean reboot of your PC. Not shutting down and starting again, but making a real reboot.
  15. Are you sure that you don't have a temperature problem of your CPU and/or GPU?
  16. Hey there, it is of course possible to install the game on multiple devices as long as you only use one account. Multi accounting is prohibited. Did you make sure that you installed all the needed requirements? Check out our troubleshooting topic for further details. If nothing works, you should try to extract the client again from the archive as well as deleting the BattleForge directory in your Documents folder. Also I guess the Updater downloaded the newest client files and is on version 0.13?
  17. Weird thing is, that the Updater isn't even running anymore after the game has been started.
  18. IIRC there's already a small banner which gets shown and fades away when you click "Delete all". But you didn't answer my question. Are your points available when you log out and in again?
  19. Did you by any chance change this file manually? Or did you clear it before you uploaded it? Because it is simply empty. Maybe just delete the file a check if it gets recreated. When does your game crash? When creating/joining a lobby or when you start or end a match? When your game crashed and you can't fix it by deleting the file (probably it won't work), please upload the file called _log_proxy_latest.log in the Diag subdirectory right after the crash. Don't start the game before you saved that file.
  20. Did you recently delete any of your decks? Can you please post the file called sr-recent-decks.json in your Documents\BattleForge directory? If you don't want to share it publicly you can also open a ticket on our Discord in the #contact-staff channel. However it shouldn't be a problem to post it here. Do you also remember what you did before you received that message? Did you delete a deck maybe?
  21. It can happen that those points aren't shown until you log out and log in again. Did you try that? If yes, we have to investigate your case further.
  22. For a first possible solution, can you try to reset your router if you still experience these problems? Unfortunately the teams has been very busy so the answer took a bit longer than usual.
  23. As Dallarian already mentioned it would be good to provide logs and also the minidump of the crash. Make sure to not start the game again after you crashed until you saved the logs. You can find both in your Documents\BattleForge\Diag directory. Check if your internet connection is stable. Even the smallest hick up in your connection can disconnect you from the game. Try to play with a wired connection if you're currently using WLAN. At least for a small tests with a few rounds. The game is from 2009 and doesn't have a reconnect feature unfortunately. So once you loose connection, you can't recover it. Some users keep disconnecting from the server no matter what they do or don't do. For some it really helped, that they play with a VPN. The VPN helps to keep the connection more stable.
  24. With boosters you have a chance of getting high value cards for a low amount of BFP whereas you have to buy those high value cards in the auction house for a lot of BFP. Chances to get high value cards, e.g. promos, are pretty low, but still existent of course. You can read more about booster rations here. So with boosters your chances are high to get good cards right at the beginning. But you can also be unlucky (like I was) and only get common cards which aren't too good (but of course still usable depending on the matches you want to play). Especially in the beginning it might be good for you to buy boosters from your BFP instead of cards in the auction house. You get more cards and you probably also don't know which cards you need since you're a beginner. Another option would be to trade cards btw. But make sure that you don't get scammed. Always check the prices in the auction house to see if you make a good deal or not. Check out this topic where you can read about how to check card prices.
  25. What is your post about? Instead of complaining here and posting false statements, you should've read the release announcements and the post from @Ladadoos. There you can see, that this was announced almost since the beginning of the open stress test. During the open stress test there were several situations where people abused bugs which lead to an unstable economy within the game. And this was one of the main reasons we decided to do a clean start for everyone once we fully release the game. And this full release happened almost one year ago in December 2020. There won't be any more resets in the future. The only thing which could happen - but is very unlikely - is, that we have to roll back one or a few days if a bug or something else would "kill" the database or corrupt data in it. So please don't post false accusations in the future and read the important threads on the forum and on Discord @abm. Feel free to create your character ingame and have fun playing. You won't regret it.
