  1. Ah I was mistaken then about how it was earned. The 20 BFP I got was a general number I found reoccurring from spamming PvE maps well after the daily boost was gone. Can I ask why the idea of slowing progression to one pack a day was decided? It sounds counter-intuitive to encouraging play in a multiplayer game. Not that I want to criticize but I would like to understand more of the logic so I can formulate better responses in the future.
  2. I understand. I can only speak for myself naturally. I think there is a difference and fine line between slowing down the game and forcibly stalling progression. In a game like this whereby new asset development is limited I would argue that the way to increase longevity isn't necessarily to make the game a crawl early on but rather put high tier rewards for people to achieve such as the use of promo cards being used as a BFP sink later in the game. I can only speak from my own logical hypotheticals, however, I think that reducing playtime would inadvertently hurt the game in a few ways: For one this game isn't in a vacuum and there are other games and consoles releasing around the same timeframe. If one puts down the game after a few hours and plays something else there is that possibility they get hooked onto that instead. Look at any steam library to see traces of that. Second I would think that lower playtimes would hurt people trying to find multiplayer matches due to a lower lobby of players. Third is the simple fact that progression is a tightrope that should feel challenging without being tedious. Especially now we see the after effects of a mixed economy in the AH where a single card that isn't even rare or ultra rare costs 2 or 3 packs worth of cards. Now one may say that it's fine because you can just use your packs to buy the cards you want, but again I remind everyone that this is a deck building game (plural). In other words in order to get one card for one deck you need to remove a card that could otherwise be used in another deck. While it should take some time to build a deck, I think that one pack a day is a bit too low. The declining rewards from quests should be slightly increased as well as make more challenging missions offer slightly more rewards on a gradient scale. This would allow people to reasonably get 2 packs a day doing a daily and grinding through missions with playtime. Keep in mind that for upgrades we are already having to grind missions to get them and with duplicates and all it could take many missions to get one of the cards you want. Possible solutions? Some have already been stated in this thread so I won't tread on them again. Due to duplicates being a thing if you wanted to reward players and give them something to work towards then make upgrades consume a duplicate card. In other words to go from level one to two it would require two of the same cards plus the upgrade or rework charges. This would allow you to increase the amount of packs one can gain without effecting the economy too bad as people will now need multiple copies for themselves while allowing players to experience the fun of deckbuilding and not have to play with the same deck in over 50 missions because the only way to get a deck is to buy single cards on the AH. Granted I know my suggestions are just that, mine and I don't expect everyone to agree. I am only providing what feedback I can from my perspective.
  3. The static card shop is probably one of the best ideas I have read thus far. The static card shop could not only allow one to purchase specific cards to finish a deck and control the level of inflation on the AH but one could take it a step further and allow you to sell to the shop and get a BFP refund based on rarity. Not a high amount but it would allow you to properly dump the 3 BFP AH cards that few buy and clog the AH sorting tables. Some cards like Nox Carrier would simply be better off sold to the merchant rather than trying to increase it's effectiveness in game or put it on the AH. I would also like to see more to do within the game. It sounds strange that the best way to get cards is to sell a booster pack and focus so much on the AH. It's like the reverse of most every card game out there. The AH in most card games is meant to find specific cards needed to finish your deck. It would be also nice to play the game for more than an hour before it becomes less desirable to do so rewards-wise. 20 BFP for a map is paltry and simply encourages me to do whatever daily missions I can, get my one pack and log out. Can't say that is helpful in building a community for essentially a largely multiplayer game.
  4. I would think that a simple daily play X could incorporate everyone. I know once everything resets we will all be back at square one, however, longevity of a game depends on bringing in new blood and specific missions would reduce incentive for a new player to get started as it's currently difficult enough to get a steady flow of BFP whereby you actually feel like you are "growing" in a positive way. It's also why I think not only expert but advanced missions should reward more BFP than standard missions to compensate for the time necessary to complete the maps. I would say the largest drawback for me at the moment is honestly the inability to purchase BFP and packs. The BFP you get from daily missions seems tedious and forces me into grinding daily missions to earn BFP. It was never liked much in MMORPGs and I don't like it here. They are fine to reward people for going above and beyond to min/max their earnings but shouldn't be the baseline set for how much BFP is reasonable for one to earn. Everything as it is leaves me wanting more. More packs and more to do than to login for 45 minutes get my discounted pack and log off. The 20ish BFP I get for a map isn't worth the effort. I would rather decrease the daily mission rewards from 75/50 BFP to 50/25 and would rather like to see the base gain from a standard mission (because we will all need to farm for our upgrades) increased from the average 20 whatever to 35 which would require 13 standard maps to get a pack which is more reasonable than 21-22 maps needed which is simply absurd. Advanced missions should reward around 45 which requires 10 maps and expert should give 55 which is at 8 maps. If you are deadset on preventing people from getting ahead of others which isn't unreasonable then I would then you could simply limit the number of packs purchasable per day to 2 which means you can earn BFP and store it but your progress is capped. This allows some of us working folks to play hard on the weekends to makeup for the loss of playtime during the weekdays. So I can farm BFP hard on the days I can and not fall too far behind due to daily missions being a large source of BFP. The largest contention is how fast someone can progress, but comparing a speed running expert to standard players is apples to oranges. If you want to slow people down then hardcap packs purchasable a day or apply a growth to packs purchased so the first pack every day is 450 then 500 then 550, etc.
  5. Finish ALL maps? Does this include multi-player maps? If it does then no. I can't find anyone in the game lobby and while discord is a possibility I don't think it wise to force people into it or have people beg for assistance in completing maps. If it is just single player maps then I wouldn't be too adverse from it, but all that does is make people who already have it or who have beaten all the missions enrich their ego while doing little to effect actual gameplay or contribute to a healthy growth in the community. As a newer player myself I am already finding it mind-numbing due to the lack of BP I can get to unlock packs on a daily basis. I only have 2 quests left which require me to PvP for 50 points and beat level 5 missions for 75 which I don't have any good cards to make a basic deck for PvE let alone for PvP. I use my daily pack discount and that is about all I can afford day to day as I replay the same first mission for an upgraded breeding grounds
  6. DESCRIPTION: Three times so far when I step away from the game (not in a match) the computer screen goes black and enters power save mode. However when I come back and try to access the game it is either flickering and/or stuck. All three times I have been unable to access my other screen (monitor 2) using alt tab or ctrl+alt+delete. And one of the three times I was unable to even use ctrl+alt+delete and had to manually restart my computer from my desktop itself. REPRODUCIBILITY: Again it has happened three times and doesn't seem to be an issue outside of power save mode. 7. I managed to fix it. Apparently WinRar was putting everything into the directory where I downloaded the rar file. Thank you for your responses.
  8. Does this game not allow you to pick where you want to unpack to? I tried to do it and it says no space because it's defaulting to my C Drive which is simply a small SSD for my startup not my larger SSD for games. Is there no way to simply install the game to a specific drive or am I unable to play because it force copies to the C directory?
