turns out I have been receiving them (just saw an email for Achievements), just that I seem to be blind... Thanks for your time.

Yeah, then I'm not receiving the achievements. I get quest emails but never got one for achievements.

Is this automatically sent or through the in-game email?

It appears that achievements give you booster packs and BFP. I don't believe I'm receiving them as I've done 38 quests so far without a single Booster pack from them. It only shows me the one achievement objective called "Skylording's a good job" am I missing things, is this an error? It's not sent me a mail of any sorts just my main quests which works fine. other than that the game has been very crisp without ever crashing.
