    My personal additions to what @SunWu already brought up.

    If we are speaking of rpve9 I would add eruption to red t1, for green I would usally cut the dryad. T1 stage is usally fast and you want to keep it as lean and simple as possible.

    For t2 Vileblood are nice on some maps but "useless" for some others, Gladiatrix or Skyfire Drake or Firestalkers are more flexible I think. I don't go with the suggestion to take nature t1 spells at t2 when starting with fire - yeah you can do that, but this is far from the optimal.

    As you will encounter often/sometimes a close camp to t4 every deck should have options to deal with that, so I don't go with leaving out T3 at all. Twilight Creeper is quite inferior to other solutions here, but scales great into t4 as you can debuff enemys with that. Other options can be Magma Hurler/ Unity and your t3 spells can help too alot, SunWu mentioned all the cool kids stuff, only want to add Creeping Paralysis as option here.
    Shrine of War is btw quite essential for this deck as you have access to many strong spells you want to use all the time, SunWo brought this up too, I only wanted to emphazise that.
    And I think it was not mentioned, its the Blue affinities of Abomination and Twilight Pestilence that you want to take, they have great effects - use them alot šŸ™‚

    The 2 Green/2 Red deck is, by the way, quite suitable for BG10, for various reasons. If you don't want a Bata/BH here, Abomination would be one of the best options out there. The deck serves the current spell meta, can be played very lean in early T4 with only 1-2 units because strong buffs and a tanky unit are available, it kills fast (even bosses)... only the rather thin CC selection is somewhat limiting here
    My BG9 allrounder, for random maps with random mates is posted below, perhaps it gives you a bit inspiration. Always have in mind, there is no perfect deck for any situation.

    this is not as easy answered as your other request. First of all I assume you are asking about rpve/bg again? At least my answer is regarding to this šŸ™‚

    On the one hand would recommend "beginners" always to bring 1 green orb to rpve maps, as this one green orb enables you alot of sustain and makes the matches much more "forgiving" then w/o direct mass heals. On the other hand we not see much decks without the perma present green orb, not even from the veterans, which is sad because you can have alot of sustain even without the green splash.
    But if you want to play this faction pure or for example Bandits, be prepared for a steep learning curve.
    But lets get a bit more concrete:
    T1 can be played either Blue or Purple
    Blue: Frostmage, Homesoil, Barrier - perhaps add even Master Archers
    Shadow: Forsaken, Motivate, Soul Splicer (G) (Forsaken can be swapped with Nox Troopers, but Forsaken shine better as allrounders)

    T2 is usally Shadow here:
    Good t2 units can be Phoenix/Embalmers (perhaps best in slot(BIS)) other units that can do the trick are:
    Lost Dancers (I like the Red here)
    Lost Shades (prolly backed by a Viridya)
    Lost Reavers
    Stormsingers (any Aff for pve, what you like more)
    Darkelf Assasins
    If you started Shadow ofc a Harvester could be a choice too.

    T3 aims usually at the orb combination (any sequence) 2 shadow/1 frost
    At the latest the third Orb opens the strong 2 shadow meta: Frenetics, Infect, Booster, Voidmanipulation via Cultist Master/Furnace of Flesh -> this solves ANY t3 situation
    Still we have a nice super cheap unit here that scales not too bad into t4: Lost Horror is always worth a consideration

    T4 has a big variety of option which can't be all mentioned in all combinations, lets me give a few ideas:
    - Overlords are no LS Units but would prolly make the best tank here because of their heal
    - Lost Warlords are cool looking and quite strong, though they need some protection
    - Lost Spirit Ship is an OP unit used well, but dies as fast in this deck if not used well
    - Lost Dragons are inferior to LLS in many aspects, though still shine alot due to their abilities if well used
    - Spellwise Bloodhealing is you best friend here, try dmg-reducing Buffs like Life Weaving or such in combination (I like Undead Army as little helper here)
    - the Revenants Combo with Lost Evocation gives strong buffs and can give a nice proper tank too
    - Winter Witches can give a nice Combo with this deck if there is a lack of sustain still

    And I still forget to mention anything, I am sure - too many options here.


    This is a BG9 allrounder for me, but beware some cards are just for the sake of playing them šŸ˜„Ā 
    T4 Playstyle in brief: Horrors give ground presence for the revenant to tank, heavy CC use to avoid getting dmg, heals via Undead Army/Bloodhealing or I buff a Horror to heal, Barrier/Homesoil scale great with Horror/Lost Dragons

    The approach from @Blashyrkh with the shadow T1/T2 is ofc closer to the meta! Still in T4 I would want to avoid freezes as he uses - here my appoach is prolly the more common.

    Did yesterday with this even the current solo BG10 motm (a very easy one this month) in what have been a top20 time - so this deck/faction is reliable if you know what you do.

    Although I understand the trolling possibilities Unity offers, I don't think we should focus on what a super small part of the community might be doing.Ā

    Unity affecting allies has useful effects on some maps where you can use it on overpowered units (I'm looking at you Soultree). It could be considered game-breaking, but I think it's more about rewarding the use of the correct spells at the right time.

    It also expands the cooperation, as you can use it with other players that have less/more hp to move forward in some complex situations.

    Overall, I think it's great as it is today. If the campaign "abuse" is too much, I would suggest modifying the units (e.g.: Soultree Viridya) to not be affected by the spell rather than changing the spell itself.

    Greetings Skylords!

    It's been two weeks already since ourĀ last community updateĀ so it's time to bring you up to speed with everything going on in Skylords Reborn!

    New Logo
    Already teased in the updated Discord icons and Facebook profile, we also have a new logo! We are very happy with our fresh new look, which inspired us to also take another look at our landing page. Nothing to share yet there, but we are currently in the first stages of a redesign, and hope to share more with you in the future.
    We'd also like to take this time to let you know we are going to post these Community Updates on our RedditĀ as well. Please make sure to follow us there if that is your preferred platform to stay up to date on Skylords Reborn.Ā 

    New cards are now in development
    As mentioned in the last Community Update, the exciting moment has come to design brand new cards for the game. We will release these new cards in batches, instead of a full expansion. Our plan for the first batch is to create new cards for 3 different factions, with up to 9 cards added in total. We are also planning to add affinities to some, if not all, of these cards.
    The past week, patrons with the Moon tier or higher were able to vote for their favorite factions. We are excited to announce the 3 factions that will receive new cards:
    - Frost
    - Amii (Shadow / Nature)
    - Bandits (Shadow / Fire)

    Don't worry, we plan to add new cards for each faction over time, the voting only impacted the order of our release. Since this is new territory for us, we are currently not able to say when new cards will be ready, and when the vote for the next batch will be. We will be actively working on this, but we don't want to rush out new cards.

    Expansion Icon

    New cards need a new expansion icon! The community was able to vote for their favorite icon on our social media (Twitter, Discord, FacebookĀ and Reddit). All icons (from left to right: Phoenix, Ouroboros, Triskelion and Lotus) were symbols of Rebirth, which we found fitting for the current stage of the project. The votes were extremely close, with our Discord community heavily leaning towards Ouroboros, while the other media were rallying behind the Phoenix icon.Ā Here is the icon you can expect on our upcoming cards (not just the factions mentioned above):


    UntilĀ further notice, all upcoming Skylords Reborn cards will have this icon. We are also looking into creating multiple versions of this expansion symbol, depending on the rarity. And ofĀ course not all cards will be ultra rare. Please note again: new cards have now started development, but we have no specific cards to share at this moment.Ā

    NewĀ Patch on the test server

    A lot is happening on the test server as well.Ā A large patch has hit the test serverĀ on the 9th of June.Ā 
    The patch contains many balancing changes and experimental changes. Please take a look at the patch notes, test them out on the test serverĀ and take place in the discussion.

    New TeamĀ Members / Team Changes
    Our moderation team welcomes a new (old) member! Bradley will be helping us out with moderation again.
    We are also happy to announce our first official Map Designer: Hodron!Ā 
    Right now he is spending a lot of time on designing the new rPvE presets mentioned in the last community update; specifically what units and or bosses you will encounter.Ā 
    Our developer _empty_ stepped down from his position. He worked on creating the installer used by new players to more easily be able to install and play the game. We would to again thank him for his contributions!
    Additionally, we will soon be adding at least one new server developer.Ā 
    We have also added a new role into our open positions; Marketeer/Outreach Coordinator.Ā As an Outreach Coordinator you are responsible to spread the word and create awareness about Skylords Reborn and to attract veteran and new players alike. This includes actively researching and reaching out to potentially interested influencers, streamers,Ā youtubers, Discord channels, game magazines, among others.Ā

    Wouldn't an option to be able to compare yourself with a friend and a global comparison be the best way to implement such a feature? Similar to what Steam does with its achievement. The global comparison essentially shows how many % of the playerbase have unlocked a specific achievement.

    For the general strategy for this map about 10 minutes. From start to the finished run about 50.
    I started out with checking the map for exploitable components and there was the cliff as the main component. Using the risk assessment from my previous post and checking fires available units and buildings it was obvious that the construct would and Moloch would absolutely rek any army consistant out of ground units that was not massive. So that was pretty much out, which left me with very few options actually, so I came in with the Blaster cannon + Mine combo as the first step, otherwise cc + towers would just be too much damage, not even speaking of the Tortugun.
    In my first run I tried experimenting with Termite Hill for to maybe get them on max range to kill the towers but it proved to not be possible (for me at least), I had especially high hopes for a corner on the right top side of t2, but yeah no luck..

    You know what instead of just explaining it in detail, I'll just upload all the replays before the final product you already saw... for whoever is interested. (the scout replay is just a 12 second one for me to check out the map.)

    Fire tends to be able to clear these camps by tackling one problem after another to continously open up more room for units to work with.
    If you want to summarize the problems on Stonekin maps it usually is:
    Windhunters Nox Sniper Deepgorge towers Moloch Construct Just tackle these one by one, usually a front to back approach is the way to go, though it can vary.
    Usually early on Windhunters and the Nox Sniper severely hinder your options due to oneshot potential or cc from dragons, but they are also fairly easy to take out so that's the first step.
    After that I realized that the Tortugun would turn around later than the construct and can be kited with Nomads easily outside of the tower range. So very easy to take out with Mines aswell.
    If that wouldn't have been possible you'd just continue with Skyfire Drakes and Sunstriders. You'd use the Skyfire Drake to lure the Tortugun to your orb slowly. Prepare a few Mines there. Sunstriders to not take damage from the tower while luring. Use Nomads to take hits from the Tortugun and it shouldn't be too much of an issue. Your orb might take damage but should be able to survive. Usually 4-5 Skyfire are enough.
    After that there is no real thread any longer because of Sunstrider (for remaining towers) + Skyfire drake combo.
    I'll attach a replay. I did not play perfect here, especially the Tortugun part was poorly executed overall - was my third try and just realized I could do the kiting strategy on this particular map in this run, so it was a bit scuffed.
    T3 was fully cleared at 8:35. I think you can get it down to 8 flat for sure or a bit lower than that with a perfect run.

    No. Imo it shouldn't. The reason why I suggested this is because it's especially ineffective to eat smaller stuff. And with many potential supports like Grim Bahir, Infect or even Undead Army it's therefore almost useless to eat the units because the animation of Tortugun is way too long. So my goal was to especially improve the effectiveness for smaller units.

    But I can promise you, there are many changes to cards in discussion (huge majority are buffs!) some even in testing stage on the Public Test Server and even new cards are presently worked on. After a little insight, I can say that you can be very excited and get ready for a lot of cool changes - be tuned. But please also have in mind this is a community project done in the free time, please be patient too šŸ™‚

    Hi! Not sure if this has been suggested but I have a couple of suggestions relating to the card filter.Ā 
    1. Spare cards Filter: The number one concern would be the constant scroll to check if IĀ haveĀ any spare/duplicate cards that IĀ either want to give away or put it on the auction house. I am not sure if its possible but i suggest doing a card filter for "Spare cards" this would mean the system will be able to detect if you have more than 4 of the sameĀ card (1 + 3 Upgrade charges). By enabling this card filter, you will only be shown the cards where you are sure to have no use of. This would mean that it'll be easier to either give away your cards (Rather than scrolling through your collection) as you will know the spare cards you have, or makes putting spare cards on the auction house less tedious.
    2.Ā  Mixed factions filter: Less important than the first, adding card filters such as bandit/stonekin and lost souls etc. Instead of seeing cards of both factions cramped altogether it'll be nice to only see the cards you want to build e.g Bandit deck.Ā

    Greetings Skylords!

    It's been two weeks already since our last community updateĀ so it's time to bring you up to speed with everything going on in Skylords Reborn!
    Some exciting news to start off this community update:Ā 

    New cards development: starting soon

    We have reached a great milestone: we are ready to create some new cards!Ā We will release these new cards in batches, instead of a full expansion. Our plan for the first batch is to create new cards for 3 different factions, with up to 9 cards added in total. We are also planning to add affinities to some, if not all, of these cards.
    As a thank you to our (Moon and higher) patrons, they will have a chance to vote on the 3 factions which we will create cards for.Ā The two most picked factions will receive new cards. The Skylords Reborn team will thenĀ pick the last faction to create new cards for, resulting in a total of up to 9 brand new cards (excluding affinities) for the game!Ā 
    Don't worry, we plan to add new cards to each faction over time, the current voting only impacts the order of our release.
    A few things to note:
    ā€¢ The poll will be open for one week,Ā until the 11th of June.
    ā€¢ Voting happens on Patreon. Moon tier and higher Patrons will be able to vote.Ā 
    ā€¢ The factions to vote for are: Fire ā€¢ Frost ā€¢ Shadow ā€¢ Nature ā€¢ Bandits ā€¢ Stonekin ā€¢ Lost Souls ā€¢ Twilight ā€¢ Amii (Nature/Shadow).
    ā€¢ We are currently not able to add Fire/Frost cards.
    ā€¢ We have not commited to a 3-3-3 split, some factions might get more or less cards, depending on their needs or design space.Ā 
    ā€¢ People vote for the faction, not the actual cards. Our balance and development teams will look at what cards to add, and what role they will play.
    ā€¢ Since this is new territory for us, we are currently not able to say when new cards will be ready, and when the vote for the next batch will be. We will be actively working on this, but we don't want to rush out new cards.

    Changes to PatreonĀ benefits
    From now on, being subscribed on Patreon with at least the Moon tier will give you a vote for the next poll. Once a new poll is here and you unsubscribed in between, we will reach out to you to ask for your vote. After a poll is done, you will only be allowed to vote in the next poll if you subscribe for at least one month again.
    We hope this new flexibility will make it easier to support the project in a way you feel comfortable with.

    Fire/Frost cardsĀ 
    Let's talk about the elephant in the room: Fire/Frost cards. As most of you are aware, EA never released a single Fire/Frost card before the servers got shut down. Because of this, there is no cardframe for a Fire/Frost card in the game, and because of the way the game is written, it's currently not possible to add new cards for this faction.
    We are however hard at work to make this possible in the future.

    More factions for rPvE (on the test server)
    We rolled out a change on the test serverĀ which unlocks more factions in rPvE. For example, its now possible to play againstĀ Lost Souls in 1 player rPvE. You can read the patch notesĀ that includes this change and how to join the test server here.Ā This is currently still being tested,Ā so please let us know on our rPvE Discord server if you run into anything weird.
    Prior to this change you could only receive:
    ā€¢ Luminousland, Jungleland, Winterland and Lavaland in 4 player rPvE
    ā€¢ Bushland, Ghostland and Twilightland in 2 player rPvE
    ā€¢ Greenland, Frostland and Cactusland in 1 player rPvE
    We also have plans to add Shadow, Nature, Fire and Frost as enemies in the future, resulting in four more factions you might fight your way through rPvE. It's already possible to test these out in the community map section on both the test and live server.Ā 

    We hope you will enjoy this new content on the test server and we hope to bring it to the live servers soon.

    New PvE Taskforce


    In the last community update we shared our design philosophy. In an effort to gather good PvE feedback for the future,Ā we are happy to announce our newly constituted PvE Taskforce!Ā For now, we have decided to include 5 initial members:

    1. Lebovim ā€“ Mapmaker, Skylord of Honor, Master of the Skylords Reborn wiki, and one of the gameā€™s top speedrunners.
    2. Keksmonsta ā€“ Top PvE player with a wide and deep knowledge of the game who has shown his ability to constructively represent the interests of the competitive PvE and speedrunner communities.
    3. Volin ā€“ Very active and helpful top RPvE player. Volinā€™s knowledge of PvE and RPvE will help us to have the knowledge to make informed design decisions.
    4. Chibiterasu ā€“ Our own beloved balancing developer, Chibi has already been partially playing this role in the background, we now want to formalize and expand it.
    5. Bini Inibitor ā€“ Bini has previously proven himself full of good suggestions, the initial idea to allow heal/rejuvenation stacking should be credited to him, the further development of the idea to Chibi.
    As you might have noticed, we tried to include representatives of the different segments of the Skylords community, from average players up to the gameā€™s top speedrunners. In the future, we would like to rotate in guest members as well.
    Additionally, in the near future we will be releasing a document detailing our new balancing process. While we are happy with the progress we have made recently, we also think that a more defined process with set deadlines will help us to increase our pace of development, especially as we begin adding new cards to the game. This will also come with larger changes to the balancing discord.

    Upcoming Tournaments
    As we mentioned in our first community update, you can also check out the new tournaments and events happening in-game. Just click the scroll on the menuĀ and check out the event tab for the upcoming events you can participate in.Ā 
    ā€¢ Official PvE Contest#1 Siege of HopeĀ 
    Our firstĀ official PvE contestĀ is running! Play Siege of Hope Expert with a twist! Our Event Organizer has created a point system that allows multiple strategies and hopefully rewards for thinking outside of the box. Speedrunning still gets you points, but speedrunning alone won't be enough to win this one! A promo of your choice is one of the prizes, so make sure to check it out!

    New TeamĀ Members
    We mentioned earlier that we are looking into making Fire/Frost cards possible. A key member in this task isĀ Kubik, who has returned to the project asĀ Client/Reverse Engineer Developer.
    We are also planning to add more server developersĀ in the very near future to speed up progress. We are still looking for new team members however! If you want to see Skylords Reborn succeed, please take a look atĀ how you can help.Ā
