This list is outdated. We plan to introduce a replacement displaying all our staff members on our landing page.

This is a list of all current Skylords Reborn staff members, so you know whom to contact if you have questions. Staff members are colour-coded by their jobs. Each role is individually listed along with the people currently possessing this role. Clicking their names refers to their profiles. Mind that not all staff work as Moderators. Some Staff may be listed as "Retired". This means that they no longer work for the project. As a rule of thumb: All people on our Forums with coloured names are SR staff!
ADMINISTRATORS - The SR CEOs. They represent and lead the project.

    Ladadoos
    Zyna
FOUNDERS - The two founders of the project. They started it all and without them Skylords Reborn would not exist. However, they are not involved with the project anymore.

    Blank
    InsaneHawk

COMMUNITY MANAGER - Is responsible for communication to and from the community. Communicates staff and project decisions to the community. Acts as a contact person for the community to share project feedback and suggestions and keeps the staff informed.

    Minashigo Hiko

MODERATORS - Take care of the forums, discord & game, help to keep them clean and enforce Rules. They can be contacted for forum or community-related issues. Global Moderators take care of all platforms. If you have any issues with a moderator specifically, contact the lead moderator.

Alpha and Beta Testers are community members that had access to the SR Test Server. Alpha testers have been able to access our servers since the Closed Alpha testing phase (September/October 2015), Beta testers joined the servers later, when the game entered its Beta phase (Early-Mid September 2016).

Skylords of Honour are community members that have been given this role for exceptional community help and activity. They receive their badge because they have done something exceptionally helpful, and therefore deserve some additional acknowledgement.

You are running into issues when installing or starting the game? We compiled a list of common technical issues people might face here. If none of that works, create a Technical Support Topic here (or find the solution in someone else's topic!). In your topic, please say what exactly doesn't work, and what you have tried so far. Please refrain from contacting staff members directly for your issues, and wait for a response to your support topic.
    • Is this game also supported on Linux and MacOS?
We do not officially support both Linux and macOS yet. We will also not be able to add support for macOS in the future, as Apple has ended support for 32-bit applications (like BattleForge) since macOS Catalina. For Linux, we do plan to add better support in the future. Despite the lack of official support, some fans were already able to get the game running with Linux. You can find some tutorials from people who were able to get it running on our forums .

    Major limitations:
    - We cannot add fire frost cards or 3-color cards. (same limitation as with the edition images), because we can't add new components to the card rendering.
    - We cannot add new types of spells and new types of abilities. We are limited to roughly 100 different spell types, and 200 different ability types. Although the game is quite modular, so we can still create seemingly new stuff for new cards.
    - We cannot add change or add models, animations, effects for cards. If we want to add new cards, we're limited to reskins for now.

The original game did not have any achievements at all, nor did it have daily quests.
The milestone does not start at 0 progress. Each quest/step gives 4 BFP for this achievement iirc.
The point of the achievements is not to provide another form of daily income. The reward is intended to be minor when compared to daily rewards. For the start we focused on achievements which are mainly relevant for the start of the game. We do plan to add more achievements in the future, especially some end-game achievements.
Big weekly/monthly quests is a format we have considered, but have not had the time yet to look at in detail.

    Patch #400022
    Greetings Skylords, Skyladies, and Skyfolks,

This update contains our first balance patch for the game and a minor fix, enjoy! Feedback to these changes can be given on the balancing discord. When you give feedback make sure to properly support your reasoning by including replays or video footage, otherwise it is not very helpful.

    General fixes
Fixed wrong amount of gained ELO displayed after a ranked PvP match. General changes
Added the option to select the reward distribution mode also for single player campaign. Card changes
A detailed list of all balancing changes can be found on the wiki: https://skylords-reborn.fandom.com/wiki/Patches#Patch_.23400022
    Hotfix
Added missing ability "Accelerated Construction" to Northstar. The first upgrade was changed from "-5 construction time" to "-10 construction time" and the second upgrade was changed from "-5 construction time" to "-10 energy cost", and the energy cost was increased for the card at level 0 and 1. Reverted accidental increase of tunneling ability with Deep One and Burrower. Fixed [missing english text] ability for Stonekin Tempest (Purple) ability. Fixed an issue with Gemeye (Green) where the paralyze ability did not apply anymore.

We are not going to remove the free PvP decks and we are also going to keep them at level 120. We also are not looking to encourage the collection mode over the unlimited mode. The collection mode was added as a secondary option for players who enjoyed playing with messy decks in the early stages of the game against other beginners. Forcing players to use the collection mode in ranked play will eventually result in beginners facing veterans with fully upgraded decks, which they have earned after months of grinding. Do you think it's fair that the player with the low level deck loses, even if they might actually be better at the game than the player who just happened to start playing earlier? I will be moving this to rejected, as the original suggestion was to "Remove lending of free PvP decks". If you have any other suggestions, such as introducing a fee for the free PvP decks, feel free to make a suggestion.

    Best regards, Zyna.

We've been saying from the start that there will be a reset when the game releases. Thousands of players were waiting for that reset, since they didn't want to lose their progress. Our previous phase was called the "Open Stress Test", where even the name indicates that it's just a test phase. If you wish to delete your account, please confirm your request by sending me a DM.

It was our goal to make PvP accessible from the start without forcing players to grind for cards and upgrades. If you are satisfied with only having two decks in PvP, then yes, you do not need any more cards next to the free PvP decks.
Let's say it's the year 2022. The game has been out for a year and plenty of people have been playing for a while now. A lot of them have multiple level 120 collection decks. Now, let's suppose you are a new player who exclusively wants to play the PvP mode. What sounds more appealing:
    1. Constantly losing against other players because they have a high level deck and you have a low level deck, while completely ignoring any skill differences.
    2. Having the same high level deck as all other players and have the skill difference actually be the decider of the match.
I'd argue the first option will essentially lead to a PvP environment, which will be unwelcoming for all new players. Everyone will be forced to grind PvE or play sparring before they have a reasonable deck. Considering sparring PvP only grants one third of the ranked PvP rewards due to it's potential for abuse, grinding PvE will be the only reasonable option again. In this scenario, does the first option really sound that much more appealing to you than the second option? To me it surely doesn't. PvP will end up with a dead player base after 1-2 years since new players will have a very hard time getting into it.

Friend every post that i read that you created is you complaining about something that affects only you. Apart from what Zyna answered to you above you want to match pvp and rpve 2 completely different gamemodes to suit you.

If you want gold specifically then go play rpve. If you did not want to play rpve today then that is on you. Pvp in every game that i have played in 15 years i game is a different mode that does not emphasise on farming something that you can also farm in pve but in fighting other players and what that means.

2 days ago you wanted achievements toned down or outright removed from the game cause YOU personally couldn't do them. Now it is gold issues cause YOU felt like playing a mode that is not the most viable way to earn a resource. Game does not revolve around you pal. We have the chance here for constructive feedback from the community which as proven time and time again is taken seriously by the admins and implemented into the game. Pls keep in mind that that feedback is for the entire community and what the majority likes and not a select few.

Otherwise we will have posts like 'remove a faction cause i dont feel like playing it myself' or 'today is was bored to play pve so you should give me extra gold for playing only pvp'

Our first balancing update was released today. For now balancing updates will break replays, but in the future we will be adding a feature to view old replays.

I have qualms over the implementation of the following abilities: Rapid Construction, Accelerated Construction and Slowed Construction.
Transparency for build time modifiers is good. Clarifying card information, cleanly, is the mark of proper design. However the present change has both format issues and ambiguity. See the following example of what I am bothered by:

I now present Northstar, a building card missed by this patch.

Personally I prefer Northstar's formatting where the construction speed is noted in the tooltip, instead than a new ability that leads to visual clutter. Also "Slow Construction " would be more correct than "Slowed Construction".

    Greetings Skylords, Skyladies, and Skyfolks!

We are happy to announce that @Maze has joined our team as a web developer. He has demonstrated to have time, knowledge and interest in the project, especially with the card price tracking website and card price notification bot he has been developing. For now he will be working with @freund17 on new tools and services, more prominently internal moderation tools. That being said, he has shown interest in other areas such as Data Analysis, which can for example become very useful to analyze the effect of balance changes in the future.

    Best Regards,
    Skylords Reborn Team
