    Hello gemeiner Lauch,
As this is a suggestion on something to add to the game I have moved it to the Suggestions part of the forums

And you did very well again!
I just thought it might be a good idea to mention my (failure) fears in public, just to show others with similar feelings that they are not alone.
I've been pretty high up in almost every BG10 ranking I've wanted to participate in over the last few months. What should some "casual" (not derogatory!) players think when they see the top times in your contests.
I just wanted to encourage others that have the same first thoughts to participate.

The solution is easy, toggy simply donates all his earnings in the first few weeks post reset to buy us boosters
the free PvP decks cover for his fire deck needs

I'm excited in working together with the great team behind Skylords. I'm astonished at how far the game has made it so far and I hope it will get even better from now going forward. I welcome the challenges that await us and want to forge the game into the best shape it can be. Balancing is delicate and there are many conflicting visions about the game, but I want to have an ear for every voice among us Skylords.

Today we're proud to announce that there is a new addition to our team! Starting from today @ImaginaryNumb3r will be joining our team as a Balancing Developer. He will be one of the leading roles for guiding the card balancing process in Skylords Reborn, and the one who will implement card balancing changes in the future.
He has proven himself to be a very capable developer in our tests and we're glad that he will be helping us out in the future!
    Best Regards, Zyna.

While a hardcoded AI (similar to AoE2 first generation AI) would be technically possible, it would require a whole lot of effort to make one which would still be terrible at the game.
An AI coded with a neural network would be possible, but couldnt be implemented in gamescripts as far as I know.
  11. gemeiner Lauch liked a post in a topic by Metagross31 in PvP Training AI
This is actually a great idea at a first glance imo!
The only problem would be the question how to implement it and who wirtes the AI in the first place. But I would love to see it, especially a wek AI for training for noobs like me, but also a strong one, which really puts even good human player to the test!

What would you think about an AI that could play 'pvp' with you? I mean an AI that plays pvp maps using cards, monuments like a player would?
Would that be possible / wanted / interesting?

Those are the most incoherently rambling posts that I have ever read, no joke. So many completely irrelevant if not downright cringe remarks. Actually this song in written form.
Okay, so let's take this seriously for a moment.
No doubt some people that were previously banned for multi accounting would actually embrace a new chance after release and never do it again. But for others it would just be an additional incentive because now any progress they make by farming BFP on multiple accounts would be permanent.
People squeezing the most amount of BFP they can out of one account is one thing. But imagine what it would do to the crucial early days after release if you invited people back in again that massively inflate BFP amounts on the server by grinding multiple accounts, even if only for a few days. There will definitely be a surge of multi accounting after release, why give chances to previous multi accounters too? It's just more workload for the moderation to ban most of them again.
If anything, somewhere down the line, a few months after release after the economy got more stable, the team could lift pre-1.0 multi account bans to give them that chance. But they are busy enough at launch as it is. No need to also invite known offenders back in, a lot of them will try either way.

Missing the dislike button, regarding the above post.
You knowed about the rules, you accepted them and then you broke the rules -willingly and knowingly

Imo it would be unfair to reset bans and I see NO reason for it.
This alone is rude - and reason enough...

    Greetings fellow Skyfolk,
after reaching a point where it just wouldn't make sense to continue working on the now outdated version of the SMJ-Website, I decided to completely rebuild the website with different tools and development strategies.
The redesigned site is now at a stage of development where I think it is viable enough to replace the old version, which broke with the anniversary patch of 2021 anyway.
The new version can be found here:     https://smj.cards/
The old version is no longer available due to changes made by the hoster heroku that would require paying to host it, but it didn't receive any more updates anyway.
The old version was available here:     https://smj.herokuapp.com/

The new site provides a lot of the features the old one did and more.
There are a few exceptions though, which I haven't implemented yet due to time issues, as I wanted give you access to the new site since the old one doesn't work anymore, but I will reimplement them in a later version:
Deals page Filtering/Sorting the cards by powercost, damage, lifepoints, abilities Using URL parameters to set filters/sorters Aside from these, the new site has other things going for it, which are best experienced by playing around with the site, but just a few that may be of interest to you:
Bigger variety of filters (excluding the ones mentioned above) like:   Playable with certain orb setup   max charges, squad size, starter card, gender, etc.  More price details for each card:   1W/2W/3W/4W Median/Mean/Min/Max   7 Days Daily Meadian micro-chart in the main table view   Differences of current price to 1W median / yestedays daily median to the daily median of one week ago   Short Term chart that updates every 10 minutes but only shows 4 weeks worth of data (limited because of data size reasons)   Long Term OHLC-charts that update every day and give a better sense of price development over a longer period of time compared to a regular single point chart   Card Auction details of what auctions currently exist for each card, when the auctions were approximately started, when they will switch and when they will end (still a small bug in the calculation sometimes, but I will fix that independently of the site)   Average value of the reforged card, when destroying 4 of the same card  General card info:   Maps to get the upgrades from for each card   List of cards that share 5/4/3/2 similarities with the selected card for easier reforging decisions   Button to the wiki page for the card   Button to copy the shorthand card url for sharing  Some other info:    The main search field has a "fuzzy" functionality, try searching "LSS" and you will see what it means 😉    I created my own card IDs to not be as vulnerable to changes to official card IDs (Plague), Promo status (Lord Cyrian), affinity (Sandstorm R -> B), as well as potential name changes    In some cases SMJ IDs as well as official card IDs can be used for some things: The following links will all redirect to https://smj.cards/card/grinder-promo-p: https://smj.cards/7z https://smj.cards/[1607]    All card images are automatically generated from their static data through an api that you are able to use as well, but I will explain how to use it at a later date
The site is still in development and some things might still be subject to change in the future, but I didn't want to make you wait any longer, seeing as the old site doesn't work anymore.
Also, just as an info, the features that the site currently provides represent about 50% of the features that I plan to add in the future. 😉
Just like the previous site, the new one will also only provide information about the prices, the cards were put in the marketplace for and not actual sell prices!

If you find anything that is not working properly or is irritating, please let me know and I will look into it. Also, if you have any specific feature ideas that you think would be useful, don't hesitate in telling me about them and I'll see what I can do. Design/Layout suggestions are also appreciated, as I'm not a designer and just did what came to mind, especially the boosters and card details tables with their cells that display the prieces, which I am not entirely happy with yet.
I hope this little project of mine will be somewhat helpful to you all, as that was my foremost goal from the beginning. 🙂
Thanks and I hope to see you all in the Forge. 😉

    PS:
I would also like to mention that I have a discord server dedicated to the whole SMJ project, where I post about the project more regularly than on the forum and where it's easier to get in touch with me regarding everything related to the SMJ.
You can join the discord server here:     https://discord.gg/m5Dm5fweSV
Over there you are are also able to interact with a discord bot that allows you to set price notifications for cards that you want to buy/sell and a few other usefull features.
Most of the features the bot provides are only listed by the bot itself, but you can read up a little bit of info about it in this forum thread: https://forum.skylords.eu/index.php?/topic/7300-smj-bot

I hope you guys are as hyped as we are. Continue the hype train and tell people about the release when you think they don't have a focus on that game anymore due to some unexpected postpones in the past.
See you in the forge fellow Skylords.

    Hello Skylords,

The day everyone has been awaiting has finally arrived. After all these years of hard work and dedication we are excited to tell you we have an official release date for Skylords Reborn!
    December 18, 2020
As you might know, we will also have a progression reset alongside this release. This means everyone's progress (this includes cards, BFP, gold, upgrades etc.) will be reset on release day. So hold back just a little if you were planning to play before release (or don't if you don't mind losing the progress). We have always said that there will be a reset on release date and it will definitely happen. If you would like to follow what we are up to and what is still left to be done before release, you can do so by looking at our Trello here.
On another note, we are looking for new staff members!
With the game being more stable and bug-free than ever before, and the upcoming release, we will start to look for ways to expand on the current game. This includes adding cards and maps, doing card and map balance changes, holding events and tournaments etc. And this is where we need your help. Listed below are three positions which will be open for applications. If you want to offer your help you can do so by applying in the recruitment section here on the forum. Please apply in the `Development` section and specify what role you would like to fulfill.
        - Designer: Design game mechanics related to progression/quests/rewards.
        - Map Scripters: Fixes bugs in map scripts, and assists the map designers with map scripting.
        - Map Designers: Makes new maps, or polishes existing maps so they can be added as official to the game.
That's it for now! For more information you can watch the livestream we did here. Thank you for your support thus far and we will see each other around.
  22. gemeiner Lauch liked a post in a topic by Cocofang in UPDATE: Free PvP Decks and upcoming livestream
You are right, it would be a small barrier that could make some new players consider if they really want to dump 100BFP (or whatever the fee would be) to take the chance. It would be a bit of a commitment but that could also be a positive as well. Like a player thinking to themselves that if they already paid the fee, they might as well get the most out of it and play more PvP, possibly getting hooked, as if the commitment is non-existent with the cards being free.
It would be additional legwork from a development standpoint but everyone could get a one-time voucher for their first unlock being free to circumvent this entirely.
When it comes to the amount of BFP, I think most people would agree that a weekly fee of 100BFP is incredibly low for the amount of value you get out of it. The conversation just seems a bit skewed because it started from the point of this crazy value being free. Not only are there some powerful and valuable cards in these decks, they are also fully upgraded. I don't think anyone could seriously argue that a weekly 100BFP for that would be expensive at all.
  23. gemeiner Lauch liked a post in a topic by Cocofang in UPDATE: Free PvP Decks and upcoming livestream
@WindHunter A fee of 100BFP is so low compared to your potential earnings even in a single day that it's almost a symbolic payment. Yet is still carries with it all the benefits I listed so I don't know where your assumption of "no real gain" is coming from.
What does "the deck isn't yours this is already true because you need your own cards in order to change it" even mean? Having to purchase additional cards doesn't make the free 120PvP cards less part of your available card pool. If you just repeatedly pick the same 120deck for free they are effectively your PvP cards and you no longer have to pursue actually collecting these cards. Which crosses them off your want-list at no opportunity cost, undermining the collectible part, which exceeds the extent of merely having to get the cards you want to add.
Like, take your own example: You are a PvP pure shadow player. You get U3 Harvester for free and if you pick one of the other shadow decks you get Shadow Phoenix for free too. There goes your need to EVER actually own these cards because you will just perma-select these two decks. You will engage with the essential collectible-aspect of the game and all things tied to it less now because you already have some of your bases covered in these departments at no cost.
@DukeDublin I don't know what you mean, you get points just for playing, no need to win. I even typed out how it would play out with a 100BFP weekly fee and the current BFP-generation rates.
  24. gemeiner Lauch liked a post in a topic by Cocofang in UPDATE: Free PvP Decks and upcoming livestream
That entirely depends on the amount. Currently you earn 250BFP for 45 mins of playing, that's about 5BPF/min. And I guess it depends on the quests they eventually implement but also 150BFP from those. They will probably consider PvE/PvP-only players. But let's just say you can only get 50 points a day by being PvP-only. And let's say you only play 30 minutes every 2 days. Over a week that's 600BFP.
Say the fee to rent 2 decks is 100BFP. Then you easily earn 6 times the amount necessary until you have to pay up again. Then let's say after that you only play 30 minutes a week and do one 50BFP quest. That's still 200BFP a week, twice as much as you need to sustain. Literally all you have to do is keep 100BFP on your account as a reserve because one day of short play is enough to stock up again.
Now you might ask "Well, if it's so easy then what is the point of having a fee in the first place?"
It creates an additional incentive to collect your own cards because it strengthens the feeling that the 120deck cards aren't truly "yours" and paying a fee makes it look more like something you want to grow out of eventually. It makes people participate more in the economy, both in the AH and by opening boosters because it nudges them towards building their own collection. It makes a scenario less likely where too many cards are just permanently taken off a players "want"-list because they just keep getting them for free. It can make people play a bit more because you either want a bigger cushion for future rents or go independent. And it is a small BFP sink which slows down inflation. What is more, 40 U3 cards is INSANE value, there should at least be some opportunity cost attached. Also, growing your collection is an integral part of the game, even if these cards can still only be used for PvP, it undermines that aspect pretty heavily. A fee would alleviate that a bit.
  25. gemeiner Lauch liked a post in a topic by Cocofang in UPDATE: Free PvP Decks and upcoming livestream
Sure, but they can safely cross off quite a few cards from their want-list if they just repeatedly pick them for free.
