Thank you very much for all your work - Skylord from the future.
The data has only Twilight and Renegade edition units, however, it is enough for me.
    Thank you very much.

Also it's missing dialoges from campaign maps like Ocean, Oracle, Raven's End and Empire, but still has more than enough lines to keep me happy.

    Names of campaign tracks.txt 768 B · 9 downloads

Much obliged -  Skylord from the past and future ^^

@Menchrese big thx for this sound pack. Always when I play nightmares end I love this music in the end with the countdown. I tried to find it a few times never found it After spending 1 hour clicking through your folder, I finally found it. Its called countdown_positve1_stream.

    Thx again

    You are welcome =]

  3. I like the ideas in this thread i think hawk and the team really should look it over take some of it see where it can be integrated into the game before open beta, and where some stuff will have to wait till everything is working and stable and build  a whole new system .

Remove all the old P2W/F2P/P2P elements that remain  remove or fix in some way.

as for multi accounting , like you said find a way to lock stuff maybe reward a new kind of currency which will be account locked  could be done via  a third party api like the one they are already planning on making the missions on the website linked to the game database through a router database, so in example in the site you get some points which cannot be traded, but you could buy cards directly with them through the site perhaps, and than the cards should be locked for like say a year ? or perma not tradable , like they did with lord cyrian /moloch  and the promo grinder later.

that is one way to combat multi accounting.

@Menchrese It doesn't really matter. Hamachi has less functions than tunngle and is easy to understand because of it. The server doesnt require hamachi though :D

oh but does it work well like in terms of connection lag and all that? i just have a bad history with hamachi so i always went with tunngle for my gaming needs

  5. Le promo spitfire flying sausage promo!

On a serious note i'd like to see a promo batariel, also Promo Tremor , and maybe a promo Dread Charger adding some fiery shadow tracks or something

also a promo giant wyrm that would add a golden helmet thingy and maybe a saddle of sorts/armor on its back and head

  6. Not your main battleforge folder where you click on the .exe to start the editor.

but the folder that contains persnal data only like configuration of stuffs and all that its in the "My documents" in your start menu and there must be a config with a valid token id that tells the client its activated.

The assertion failed error only happend to us when we didn't have a proper file set up in the "Battleforge" folder in "My Documents"

  7. yea i cant do this everytime i try there is an error i started over about 5 times watch the videos and yea nothing will work well what ever

Don't download with a downloading manager of any sorts, download with a 1 connection direct download of the browser. try to disable the anti virus while downloading to ensure that nothing corrupts the files.

Perhaps we could add some of these stuff to a torrent file at some point including my original game from which i uploaded the editor.

    cause it weights 11gb.

  8. and how long will it take for them not to have copyrights on it? or is not copyrights just the fact that they own it and stuff like that?

Actually i think its like with patents and in around 100 years they will no longer hold rights to it lmao..

  9. Oh I already watched the video, I followed all the steps and even downloaded the additional files before I complained about it. It still doesn't work.

If you want i could try to help you via "TeamViewer". PM me if ya do.

  10. Not sure wut you mean my sounds are in .sns, and dragonunpacker only extracts the sns from the pak and than i use the tool provided in this topic to convert sns to a playable by vlc/media player

I wrote a starter for the tool. Put it in the same folder with the ealayer3.exe and all your sns files you want to be converted.

    ealayer3starter.exe

    Awesome will do

I tried Dragon Unpacker, Chris Moates's Extractor (more powerful version of the former) and Watto's Game Extractor back then. None of them were able to rebuild the sound files so that Winamp could play them, and have found no tools to convert snr files.

Any idea how to deal with those? Unless I'm missing something obvious, unit sounds are in snr.

Oh nvm i found the snr as well lemme check if that works on snr as well.

Edit: Nope the EAPlayer doesn't work with .SNR. i will try to find a way tho.

Edit2: Think i found a way i'll post it here as well as i test it.

  11. Try to use it with admin rights, if still doesn't work try to Delete all the battleforge files, including the Documents ones.

redownload every thing while the anti virus is off and don't use any downloaders to prevent corruption, and try again if still doesn't work.

than for the time being i'm not sure what could be wrong, maybe no access maybe the file blocked in "properties" see if it says "blocked" or some thing read only.

    What windows are you using?

  12. If you ever wanted the sounds of battleforge units, background sounds, spell sounds, and more.

To extract and convert the sound files into a playable format: do this

    .SNS files:

Step 1: download DragonUnpacker this is the software with which you will be able to unpack the pak files.

Step 2: Download the latest version of EAPlayer that is the software which allows you to convert the extracted .sns files into playable format.

Step 3: when you have every thing ready go to your battleforge and into "Base" than "Pak" with DragonUnpacker and find all the "Sound" files and just do "Extract all" , in settings you can choose which location it will be extracted to or just when you extract all it should ask you where as well.

Step 4: now that every thing is in ".SNS" type use "EAPlayer" , put EA player into the same folder of all the SNS files, and simply drag a file you want to convert, on top of EAPlayer app and release on it, it will generate a playable version of that same file.

Step 5: Listen and enjoy lmao.

Step 6: Use bobfrog's multi converter:[Click here] with "EAPlayer" by launching it in the same folder as the .sns files and the EAPlayer files click "copy" all on the topmost number which is the total of files, than click exit and it will start auto converting every file in the folder.

    .SNR files:

Step 1: Download and install FormatFactory .

Step 2: Open FormatFactory  go to the folder where you extracted all your ".SNR" files, press "ctrl+a on your keyboard" to select all .snr files, drag em all into the FormatFactory.

Step 3: A pop up in the software will ask which format you'd want to convert em to , pick the audio settings and choose mp3/wav/mp4 or what ever you like, also in the bottom you can choose where it should be saved to what folder.

Alternatively:  Here's a ton of sounds i have found and converted to mp3 so far in one zip file: BattleForgeSounds.zip . [Containing all the units voices/sounds them talking].

Having helped a lot of new players in this game over the years when it was active, not knowing about the forums was most definitely a hindrance to them.  Also when you have 15 to 20 guides sticked in a thread it can be a bit confusing as well.  Some guides focus more on one thing, while others will focus on something else.  This is in part what I was trying to accomplish with my Nature Series of Replays to show pure nature folks tips and tricks about the nature cards.... Green Dryad..... anyone.

We have all knowledge of the game PvE and PvP, and we all have something to add.  Just trying to figure out a way to make it easily accessible and understandable to a new player who knows nothing of BF.  IMHO even though the game seems to be doing well for the moment with just the thought of it coming back.  There is a very steep and difficult learning curve to this game especially the PvP aspect of it.  Without retention we will have the same issues EA had.

You start by making simple guides from scratch explaining new players the "way of thought" the concept of playing the game , mechanics how important it is to manage power and void power efficiently. the transition from 1orb unit to 2nd ,, 3rd, 4th, deck building skill as to remember and learn all cards and test combos of different builds, each map can be easily done with a better combo for that particular map.

As to pvp explain what is the most crucial aspects of pvp, at start of the game, mid of the game, and end game what should be the goals .

like resource /defense/ speed/ territory control./crucial power managment from the start and more stuff.

Make a full thread explaining each of these mechanics in depth.

  14. Oh now I can start it, but it says when I try to createe a new map: The application failed to create the requested file type.

"the map editor will most likely not work as a stand alone so you gotta download the full battleforge folder, with the base/pak folders and every thing else unpacked properly for it to work, so put the map editor in the battleforge main folder and than try it."

If it fails to work for ya, try to get all the files provided in this forum instead.

I haven't encountered such an issue so far so i'm limited as to what it could be, i'd need to reproduce the issue on my end to be able to figure it out.

Also try to watch this video:click here might shade some light on your issue.

  15. You should be able to start the editor unless there is some error from corrupted files/deleted files or for some reason you didn't activate the editor ever.

try to download the file's i provided only the "Step 1" and place the "battleforge" folder inside of the "Map editor folder" to your documents folder , and let me know if that helps.

If that doesn't work  you'ill have to delete everything related to bf, and redownload and follow all the steps in this guide.
