Since there was also a race for fastest 2p 9s alltime on the same map last month, I can't wait to find out what the standings are for the contest.

Will this only be announced in the stream or is there already a publication of the rankings for the contest?

    Hey Damo,

A total ranking will be published on stream and after that also here in the forum.

Even though the event isn't over yet - I'd like to bring my first point of feedback already.
I feel like the event runtime is way too long. Imo 3 weeks+ just feels like it is stretching on forever. Especially considering the ruleset is relatively simple and straightforward. For events like the Guns of Lyr one where the ruleset was way more expansive I can understand a longer event runtime, even then 3 weeks might be a tad too long.

Personally I would prefer a event runtime of 10-14 days for the "simple" competitions and maybe a couple days extra for something thats more complex.

On 1/29/2022 at 2:33 PM, Mynoduesp said:

    100% agree.

An event with a singel runtime of 15 minutes on average shoud not be held longer than 7 (max 10) days.

Events with runtimes over 30 minutes and especially 3+ players can be held over a longer period like 14 days. Go give ppl the chance for optimisation, team coordination and team organisation.

Only if the whole purpose of the event is multiplayer optimisation (rPvE MotM is such an event), then it could be run for a full month (without patches during uptime). But these events can easily be run in parallel.

First of all, thank you two for your feedback. I really appreciate it.

I agree, that a duration over 14 days can be too long for events.
We are still trying to adjust the event durations and this time we went for the full rpve rotation to give the possibility to optimise.
What we also shouldn't forget, is that many participants that aren't in the top 10 haven't enough time to always catch the current running events and therefore might miss events.

    In Conclusion:

We will adjust the run time of events in the future and will try to find the sweet spot.
Please keep giving us feedback, so we can improve our events!

    In the meantime:

Thank you all for participating to this event, a stream date will soon be announced!

The first non-flying unit you spawn on your own will most likely have ground presence. If this unit dies you may NOT spawn another unit. It is not the unit type that has the allowance to be spawned; you are only allowed one single unit. It doesn't matter if this unit was a Batariel or Windweavers. This single squad is only allowed and may not be respawned once dead. So pick your unit wisely and keep it safe!

Of course I can't speak for Hiko here, but I am quite sure that you are allowed to do that. But why would you want to take that handicap? 🙂

You are completely right @Volin of course  @Earlygirl can participate solo if she/he wants to.

You will just be in a very bad position compared to the others as you will be putted in the same ranking.

  4. Hello Skylords, Skyladies and other Skybeings.

Welcome to the second official rPvE event!
We hope you will have a lot of fun with this event!

    1124256660_logo_for_events(1).png.5314cff26fc137c2f0ff4c9203feff0f.png

What kind of event will it be?

    rPvE/Battlegrounds 2player - Map of the Month - Difficulty 9

For this challenge, we want to see your adaptability in unique situations.
    We are looking at the
fastest time with only one rule: each player may only spawn one single unit with ground presence* through the whole run.

    So gather a
team, polish your strategy and go for the fastest time!
Special thanks to THE_BIG_WET for assisting us in this event.

When will it start? Event finished!

We will be accepting entries starting 08.01.2022 00:00 CET.

The event will run until the end of the month, to be specific: 31.01.2021 23:59 CET.
You can send your replays through DM to me on Discord (Minashigo Hiko#1126) or through a PM to me on the forum (@Minashigo Hiko).

    How can I participate?

You just have to send in your fastest replay, including the player names and your reached time [Note: Your entry has to be a victory]
    For example:
    "Hiko_Majora_Time_00h20m30s"

You can send in your replays until the 31.01.2022.
You can find your replays here: Documents=>Battleforge=>replays

    Please note:
You are allowed to send in different replays, but only the fastest one will count. Meaning that if you compete with multiple teams, the team that has the best time will also be your personal best time

    What are the rules?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    1. The team with the fastest time wins.
    2. Each player may only spawn one single unit with ground presence throughout your whole run*.
    3. Only Map of the month
    4. Only Difficulty 9
    5. Have fun!

*FAQ / Questions you might have

    Spoiler

    What is ground presence?
"Ground Presence is a term to describe an area of about 10m around any friendly building or unit where you can not only use cards, but also claim Power Wells and Monuments"(source: Skylords wiki)

Simply said, ground presence gives you the ability to spawn units, build buildings and cast most non-arcane spells.

What does count as an unit?
Everything that is not a spell nor a building,

Can you give an example to the rule?
The first non-flying unit you spawn on your own will most likely have ground presence. If this unit dies you may NOT spawn another unit. It is not the unit type that has the allowance to be spawned; you are only allowed one single unit. It doesn't matter if this unit was a Batariel or Windweavers. This single squad is only allowed and may not be respawned once dead. So pick your unit wisely and keep it safe!

    Please note:
The run is not over just because this unit dies, you just have then to work with arcane spells/skills, air units or buildings.

Am I allowed to spawn or create units via a spell or ability?
As long as these units don't give ground presence, yes.
The only source of ground presence in your game should be the one unit you have chosen (per player).

Is the Transformation of as example Twilight Minions to a Creeper allowed?
This is sadly not allowed, as the transformation would create a new unit with ground presence.

If you still have questions, please ask them below.

You have to do this with an exact timing, but with longer spawn animations spamming it does also work.

I am so sorry I didn't manage to upload the Video until now..

I had some serious problems with my PC that caused to crash it.. I ordered a new PC part that arrived yesterday instead of the planned Thursday/Friday.

Starting next week I am now finally able to finish the video, planned is Wednesday .
We will also add a little "sorry" gift.

  8. Hey all,

Sorry for the silence until now.

I know @Majoraalready mentioned this but still:

After reviewing your replays, we decided it is better to turn the upcomming event stream into a YouTube video.
There are two reasons for this:

    1. We are planning an anniversary stream on the 17th and the earliest date I would be able to stream would be the 11th next week.
    2. Many replays were similar strategy-wise and not many participated (9 to be specific)

Because of these reasons, we decided to do a YouTube video rather than a short Twitch stream.
We already received some concerns, regarding what kind of content will be in the video.
We can assure you that we plan to show everything that seems interesting for us all.

  9. Hello Skylords, Skyladies and other Skybeings.

Welcome to the third official PvE event!
We hope you will have a lot of fun with this event!

    logo_for_events (1).png

What kind of event will it be?

    PvE - Expert - Bad Harvest/Guns of Lyr/Dwarven Riddle

For this challenge, we want to see the skill of your team on three different battlefields.
    We are looking at the
fastest combined time for all three maps, meaning that if you are an expert on Bad Harvest, you better step it up for Dwarven Riddle and Guns of Lyr, since one good time only gets you so far!
    Furthermore, the card
Decomposer is banned for this event and you need to collect all gold chests on each map. Meaning the standard speedrun tactics might not apply.

    So gather a
team, polish your strategy and go for the fastest total time!

    When will it start?

We will be accepting entries starting 03.11.2021 00:00 CET.

The event will run for approximately 3 weeks, to be specific: 27.11.2021 23:59 CET.
You can send your replays through DM to me on Discord (Minashigo Hiko#1126) or through a PM to me on the forum.

    How can I participate?

You just have to send in your fastest replay-pack (containing 3 replays), including the player names and the total time of ALL maps. [Note: Your entry has to be a victory]
    For example: If your
team reached 30 minutes on Bad Harvest, 25 minutes on Guns of Lyr and 10 minutes on Dwarven Riddle you would claim the following:

    "
    Hiko_Majora_Zyna_Pascal_Total_1:05h"

You can send in your replays until the
    27.11.2021

    Please note:

    • You are allowed to send in different replay-packs, but only the fastest one will count. Meaning that if you compete with multiple replay-packs, the pack that has the best total time will also be your personal best total time.

    • You are allowed to compete with multiple teams, but all 3 map-replays of your replay pack must be from the same team composition. You can not mix-and-match Bad Harvest from Team A, and Guns of Lyr from team B in the same replay pack.

You can find your replays here: Documents=>Battleforge=>replays

    What are the rules?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    1. The team with the fastest total time wins.
    2. Use the map Pool.
    3. Collect all gold chests on each map.
    4. No Decomposer.
    5. In Guns of Lyr, construction of buildings past the flames near the map border in the top left and bottom right corner is not allowed.
    6. Only Expert difficulty.

Sounds fun! What's the prize pool?

The following prize pool will be adjusted according to the amount of participants.

Each player that completed all 3 maps with at least one team, gets a participation award.
This means you need to do a full run (all 3 maps) with a team to apply. You can't apply for more than one participation award.

The prices are per person. If you compete with multiple teams, only your highest place will be rewarded :

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1st place                        10 general Booster packs

2nd place                       9 general Booster packs

    In conclusion

I'm considering (still) learning nothing about PvP and just participate if I can make the time free.... especially in the Rookie Tournement, there need to be some real Losers 😃

I am pretty sure you can just ask any pvp player and he will be able to give you tipps and or tricks.

Keep in mind, the free PVP decks are fully upgraded and give you a good card pool.

If you can not find anyone who wants to help you, just join Toggy's stream on Wednesday, the Fightclub is there to practice and improve!

    1. No rules saying that previous top rookies can't participate.
    2. Just checked definition of rookie, it seem to be very strict, can't participate, understable, have a nice day.

Going to watch official SR Twitch, yey!

Also 4 days in advance is a bit short, isn't it, any particular reason for it? Are we celebrating something on 8th?

    1. previous top rookies shouldnt feel like rookies haha, they can sign up but if we think they are too good they will be outsorted.

There is no special reason for it except of the fact, that I had technical difficulties the last few days so I couldn't announce it earlier and originally it was set on another date.

We are celebrating the return of the rookie tournament on the 8th!(its just a normal day)

Hey Hiko, don't want to stress you, but I would like to plan Saturday a bit, as I have to do a hospital visit. Don't want to miss the live stream again.

Will it be 19:00 CEST again?

    Hey Volin,

We originally planned to stream 19:00 CEST but out of personal reasons I sadly have to move the stream to Monday...
I am currently not feeling that well and do not want to force a stream for you guys, because you deserve a fun stream like last time.

I hope you guys can understand and sorry for moving the date, I will see you all on Monday 19:00 CEST.
Because of this you will need to wait two more days to have the winners announced 😉

Please you can explain the meaning of this sentence for us? If i participate in different categories my times cant be all in the rankings at the same time?!

This was just to ensure, that you do not submit a loss.

As on this map there is no clear win condition as in "kill the boss". We added this to have some kind of comparison, because this can be checked.

Sorry this makes no sence for me. If i am the attacker and i am flying or running left side with a unit that has life weaving on it the enemy units will get dmg. So its a way of attacking units - because i could fly or run around the units and i also can kill them with it. So it should be not allowed. And if you dont want to deal dmg you should not cast this spell on your unit if you are in this area - thats the part of the challenge.

I do not understand the confusion here, Life weaving targets your own unit and has the purpose to REDUCE the damage this unit gets.

Sure some percentage of that dmg will get reflected to everything around it (thorn effect) but this is not the main effect of the card, its a side effect.

Its "reduce incoming damage and reflect a percentage of it" not like in aura of pain "deal damage to everything around you".

    Same as Revenge.

i believe in common sense and sportsmanship, that people will follow the rules. Disadvantageous only that many questions there are true to the rules, therefore my fear that someone sees what as ok what eigendlich against the rules is.

When judging replays, I will always give the participants the benefit of the doubt, idk like give a second chance or just ignore the mistake.

When an enemy is exactly on the border I will not disqualify you because "the wrong side killed the unit" event when exactly on the border there is no wrong side.

But I think that if it's not a match deciding thing you could look past it if it was unclear if this spell/atk match was deciding or not.

I will of course ignore some small things as, you errupted an already dieing unit that legitimately makes 0 difference. The rules are there to give some kind of guidance.

The main reason why the border rule exist was, so that there will not be one player who carries the other one.

So that every player has its own task, I mean even with the border restriction one can simply carry but it becomes way harder.
