Great greetings, people of the Sky,
in the sixth round of BOT its all about switching your orb colours -> but don´t worry's, you don't have to do that by hand.
Have fun on the colour changing Rainbow Road!!!

    Final Ranking and Stream recording:

    The challenge:
You will play on a Community map version of the Dwarven Riddle called "Battle of Tactics 6"
On this one-player map, you don't have to build orbs. The Rainbow crystal will grant them to you.
But it´s a Rainbow Crystal - that means your orbs will switch constantly the colours.
    That switch order is:
         Fire -> Nature -> Frost -> Shadow -> Fire -> ...
    The switch will be after:
         Tier 1 = 30 sec
         Tier 2 = 45 sec
         Tier 3 = 60 sec
         Tier 4 = 20 sec
    And access to the higher:
         Tier 2 = 5 min
         Tier 3 = 10 min
         Tier 4 = 15 min
Do not lose the crystal, or else you will lose the game.

    Patch #400045 - Revenant's Doom
Welcome to our newest patch. This update contains our tenth balance patch for the game, two brand-new cards, a rework of the rPvE difficulty system, tutorial missions, and many other changes, enjoy!

    Patch Preview
Two new cards are now available! Jump in-game to collect Tectonic Shift and Lost Manabeast. Added tutorial missions! New and old players alike can now receive rewards for simple missions meant to explain some of the harder to understand mechanics of BattleForge. A new rPvE difficulty and changes to the existing difficulty system to align it better with the campaign map difficulties. Our much anticipated Lost Souls rework, a large number of buffs to well-designed but underperforming cards, and a change to the neutral unit exclusion rule. A complete rework of the campaign reward system, with individualized upgrades, gold rewards overtime, and gold rewards on-loss.
    General Changes
Pause, Speed-up, and Slow-down buttons have been added to the Forge. Standard difficulty has been removed for the 12p maps Passage of Darkness and Ascension. Achievements have been adjusted accordingly.  The game will now remember the difficulty you selected for each map until you restart the game. Removed post-game message "Maximum rank achieved" for those players who are Master of the Forge rank in PvE. The post-game reward screen now always displays the player's current rank and experience earned. A description of the achievement completed has been added to achievement reward mail. Added previews when hovering over card and boosters rewards for achievements.  The networking library used for the client has been updated. Linux users will now need Wine 7.13 or higher to play the game. The game should still work on Windows 7, but support has been discontinued. General Fixes
Improved user interface responsiveness. Longer gaming sessions were previously experiencing slowdowns. Resolved an issue that prevented free PvP decks from being cloned. Fixed a game crash related to map scripts, most commonly affecting the "Titans" map.
    New Cards
    Tectonic Shift - 50p T3 Stonekin Spell
You will find the upgrades for this card on the map "King of the Giants".
When thinking about Stonekin's design, we determined that more buildings interactions fit well with the faction. More specifically, we thought that a building-based archetype was the natural expansion for a faction of living stones. Tectonic Shift is a T3 spell that adds a teleport ability to friendly Stonekin, Frost, and Nature buildings. This teleportation ability functions highly similar to Phase Tower's ability as a permanent addition, similar to how Santa and Infernal Chain add new abilities to a unit. For more information, check out Community Update - September 2023.
    Lost Manabeast - 120p T3 Lost Souls
You will find the upgrades for this card on the map "Titans".
As part of our Lost Souls rework, we wanted to add the well-known NPC unit Lost Manabeast to the faction. The player version of Lost Manabeast is a ranged unit, which collects the souls of its victims to reset the revenant timer of allied Lost Souls units. It is a perfect fit for those players wanted to engage in revenant-based gameplay. For more information, check out Community Update - December 2023.

    Random PvE Difficulty Redesign
A major part of the upcoming update is the addition of a new random PvE difficulty between level 9 and level 10. The significant gap that exists between level 9 and level 10 is well known, and this new difficulty, often referred to as level 9.5, is meant to help players prepare themselves to make the jump into level 10. Alongside this new difficulty, we are also changing the naming scheme of the random PvE difficulties and removing difficulty levels 1 to 3, which are almost never played. We hope this new system will make it easier for players to understand what difficulty is right for their skill level.
[ New Difficulty Naming Scheme ]
    Standard difficulty - Old level 4 Standard+ difficulty - Old level 5 Standard++ difficulty - Old level 6 Advanced difficulty - Old level 7 Advanced+ difficulty - Old level 8 Advanced++ difficulty - Old level 9 Expert difficulty - NEW level 9.5 Expert+ difficulty - Old level 10
    Campaign Loot Rework
Anyone who plays PvE in Skylords Reborn knows that the most commonly played multiplayer game mode is random PvE. One part of this is due to the ease of matchmaking, you can go to the 4p area and join a random PvE game of any difficulty without needing to jump around the map checking lobbies, and the other part is due to rewards. In most cases, random PvE simply rewards the player better, unless you get lucky while looking for an expensive level 3 upgrade. While our upcoming improvements to campaign map matchmaking will have to wait for a future patch, we are now rectifying the reward discrepancy between the two modes.
    [ Campaign Reward Changes ]
Campaign maps now reward gold over time. The total amount of gold rewarded has been substantially increased at all difficulty levels, even if players previously disenchanted all upgrades. Solo maps and multiplayer maps now give the same rewards. Campaign maps also reward players who lose a map part of the gold they would have obtained had they won. Standard maps reward 70%, advanced maps 40%, and expert maps 25% of the expected gold on-loss. Gold on-loss cannot be earned unless at least 5 minutes have passed in-game. The new Pick reward mode has replaced Random, Need/Greed, and Assign, which have been removed from the game.  Upgrades are now decided on a per-player basis, with each player able to choose the upgrade(s) of their choice. Expert and advanced maps reward 1 upgrade, while standard maps reward 2 upgrades. In the future, players will have the ability to earn more upgrades per map completion under special circumstances. Disenchanting an upgrade now rewards the same gold regardless of the rarity of the upgrade, while also providing the player with PvE experience, depending on the level of the upgrade.

    Tutorial Missions
Twenty-one new tutorial missions have been added to the game. These missions are designed to help new and old players alike to discover basic game features, as well as many of the new functionalities the Skylords Reborn team has added since the game's revival. Completing all 21 missions will reward players with 12 common cards, 8 uncommon cards, 900 gold, and the new in-game title "Lyrish Scholar." These rewards are designed to help new players and function as a supplement to the existing starter decks. All missions are completable within an hour.
Tutorial Missions will be the new focus of attention when opening the rewards window, but focus will revert to quests once the missions are complete.

    Card Balance Changes

    Global Balance Changes
Neutral Units are now limited on a per-player basis:
       - Each player will now be able to play one copy of each neutral units. Neutral buildings are still limited on a per-team basis.
We have been increasing neutral unit synergies and releasing new neutral cards, but an issue is that if one player is running a neutral archetype, say Ravenheart & Raven Archwalker, the other members of the team are also restricted in their deckbuilding choices. We think this is contrary to the spirit of the game, and since there are no balance considerations preventing a change, we are loosening the restriction while keeping the uniqueness of neutral units intact.

    Balance Changes
While changes are split here between PvE and PvP sections, many of the changes have important consequences for both game modes. Our PvE and PvP balance teams work closely together to ensure that the impact of all changes are evaluated for both game modes. Below, we have listed both the changes and our reasoning behind them.
    [ Tier 1 ]
     Envenom:
    1. Base damage: Restored one missing tick on both affinities
    2. Infused Intoxication: Scaling damage: Each time the 80 dmg threshold is reached, the poison damage increases by 10, stacking up to 6 times up to a maximum of 95 damage per second, and refreshing the spell duration.
This change should allow the card to remain near its current state in PvP by allowing the player to micro their unit away before the poison stacks out of control, while providing a powerful new tool for Nature T1 in PvE as powerful singular units steadily kill themselves by stacking the poison damage higher and higher.
     Mumbo Jumbo:
    1. Power cost: 40p ➜ 50p
    2. Targeting: Units only ➜ Units and buildings
    3. Debuff strength (both affinities): 25% ➜ 35%
Improve Mumbo Jumbo's usability in PvE by allowing it to target buildings. This will be especially useful with the infused affinity (r) which increases damage taken by 35%. This should help Nature T1 focus down troublesome towers and spawners.
    [ Tier 2 ]
     Earthkeeper:
    1. Damage: 540 dp20 ➜ 660 dp20
    2. Back Up, power cost: 25p ➜ 0p
Improve use cases for Back Up by removing activation cost and give the card slightly more in-combat power by giving it a 22% damage boost.
     Lost Reaver:
    1. Mob:
       A. Targets: Hostile and friendly units ➜ Hostile units
       B. Corpse cost: 1500 ➜ 2000
       C. Crawler health: 310 ➜ 440 life points
    2. Corpse Gathering maximum amount: 1500 ➜ 2000
Lost Reaver's ability seems made for PvE, but it has anti-synergy because it damages other friendly units and even its fellow crawlers. We have increased the corpse cost to make it slightly harder to use in PvP, while increase crawler health for better survivability. Additionally, and most importantly, we have removed the ability's friendly fire, which will allow players to spawn multiple crawler groups at a time without worrying about them killing each other instead of the enemy.
     Lost Shade(p):
    1. Tainted Union
       A. Remove existing reflect effect.
       B. New effect, "When surrounded by at least 2 other Lost Shades, each individual unit will deal 61/61/61/68 damage per second and take 15% more damage."
Lost Shade(p)'s reflection effect has never quite worked, the more shades are in the union, the less damage is actually reflected. Instead of attempting to salvage an affinity effect we think is unfitting to the unit, we have instead decided to make the tainted affinity the true opposite of its frosty counterpart. Tainted Shades will receive more damage but deal more in turn, making them a high risk-high reward option.
     Vileblood(g):
    1. Gifted Liquids (g) healing per wave: 300 life points equally spread ➜ 160 life points, up to 800 in total
Now works similar to Forest Elder's healing ability, with a separated single-target and multi-target healing amount. There are 6 total healing waves, meaning this changes the spell from 1800 total healing to 960 single-target healing to up to 5 targets.
    [ Tier 3 ]
     Ethereal Storm:
    1. Charges: 8 ➜ 16
    2. Power: 150p ➜ 130p
    3. Duration: 21 / 21 / 21 / 26 ➜ 25 seconds on all upgrade levels
    4. Now only damages hostile units.
    5. Blessed affinity (b): All enemies in range take full damage, even when frozen (everything does full damage).
    6. Infused affinity (r): Enemy units take 20% more damage.
    7. Remove all stages except 1:
       A. Only one stage, baseline (0 Revenants) and stage 1 (1 Revenant).
       B. Baseline: 40 damage / Stage 1: 100 damage
The existing scaling effect is bugged, so we are simplifying the mechanic. There is now a base effect and an improved effect if one Revenant is present. This gives LS a consistent damage spell for itself but with reduced effectiveness in helping allies due to a lack of Revenants unless the player also casts Lost Evocation. The affinity effects provide missing things in the faction, such as the ability to ignore freeze's damage reduction.
     Lost Banestone:
    1. Underworld Gate:
       A. Remove existing effect
       B. Add affinities, Tainted and Blessed
       C. Now spawns an own Lost Shade Revenant of the respective affinity
       D. Duration: Infinite ➜ 20 seconds
       E. Cooldown: 60 seconds ➜ 40 seconds
    2. Tainted Underworld Gate (p):
       A. New effect: "Activate to curse the targeted enemy unit. Every second, the targeted unit will lose 40 life points. Additionally, if the target dies, it explodes dealing 300 damage to every enemy in a 10m radius and a Lost Shade revenant with an affinity toward Shadow will spawn out of its corpse with a lifetime of 25 seconds."
    3. Blessed Underworld Gate (b):
       A. New effect: "Activate to curse the targeted enemy unit. Every second, the targeted unit will lose 40 life points. Additionally, if the target dies, Lost Banestone is fully repaired and a Lost Shade revenant with an affinity toward Frost will spawn out of its corpse with a lifetime of 25 seconds."
    4. Glacial ➜ Everlasting
       A. Remove affinities, now one effect
       B. Radius: 25m ➜ 30m
       C. Now suspends the duration of any friendly revenants in the area.
With its new aura and the ability to generate unbound defenders, Lost Banestone will allow players to transition their T2 offensive units into T3 defenders. This fits in line with the new Revenant-based playstyle we envision for the faction. This will also remove the exploit where Banestone can permanently stop enemies on some cPvE maps from spawning, such as Bad Harvest and Siege of Hope. While this exploit is well known and used, these maps are perfectly completable without them, and they trivialize defending by functionally turning the map off.
     Promise of Life:
    1. Affected units can no longer be healed.
    2. Blessed Revive (b):
       A. Spawn delay: 15 seconds ➜ 10 seconds
       B. Ice Shield strength: 800 ➜ 1500
Improve blue affinity without impacting the current workaround to spawn extra legendary units. Additionally, add a new effect to both affinities preventing units affected by Promise of Life from being healed. This should especially help in multiplayer, where well-intentioned allies heal units you want to die.
     Stone Launcher:
    1. Orb cost: 1 Nature, 1 Frost, 1 Hybrid (T3) ➜ 1 Nature, 1 Frost, 1 Neutral (T3)
     Twilight Slayers:
    1. Orb cost: 1 Nature, 1 Fire, 1 Hybrid (T3) ➜ 1 Nature, 1 Fire, 1 Neutral (T3)
    [ Tier 4 ]
     Green Peace:
    1. Protect the Environment! allied buff duration: 20 seconds ➜ 30 seconds
    2. Protect the Environment! (r) damage buff: 50% ➜ 60%
     Infernal Chain:
    1. Orb cost: 2 Shadow, 2 Neutral (T4) ➜ 4 Shadow (T4)
    2. Power cost: 150p ➜ 100p
       A. Spell now costs 50p to cast once applied to the unit.
    3. Ability Rework:
       A. Target: Single-target ➜ Up to 5 enemy units
       B. Bugfix: Allow Infernal Chain's healing to regenerate squad members
    3. Blessed Bond (b) ➜ Tainted Bond (p):
       A. Remove 50% damage reduction for caster ➜ Add healing effect (55 per second) for each bond established
       B. Affected enemies now return 12% of current void power as power from the void
    4. Gifted Bond (g):
       A. Healing: 75 per second ➜ 55 per second per bond
       B. Stuns affected targets after 5 seconds for 15 seconds.
Two dedicated Shadow orb decks already have a lot going for them, 3 dedicated Shadow orb decks have both Death Ray and Plague, and Shadow Worm fails to provide a sufficient reason to go Pure Shadow on its own. The changes allow multiple bonds, with healing occurring per bond. This is intended to synergize with Shadow Worm's life loss from Mass Disintegration. Each affinity has a different role: the shadow affinity provides in the field void return, and the nature affinity grants a crowd control effect.
     Lost Evocation:
    1. Power cost: 150p ➜ 140p
     Lost Spirit Ship:
    1. Torpedo Changes:
       A. Splash Radius: 15m ➜ 10m
       B. Knockback: Remove S & M-knockback
    2. Life points:  3930 ➜ 3630
    3. Power cost: 240p ➜ 230p
    4. Recycling:
       A. Target: Own buildings ➜ Own buildings and Revenants
       B. Cooldown: 10 seconds ➜ 5 seconds
       C. Ability description simplified
    5. Crystal Rework:
       A. Gifted Crystal (g): Damage effect removed, it now only heals
       B. Infused Crystal (r): Grants a +40% movement speed increase to friendly Lost Souls units
       C. Ability description simplified
Lost Spirit Ship (LSS) is the major damage dealer for Lost Souls, which relies on units to deal damage. Therefore, we would be unable to remove its high damage without providing heavy compensation in other places. Instead of doing a full stat realignment of Lost Souls units, we are focusing on LSS.
While the changes might look like LSS was significantly nerfed, this is less true than it first appears. First off, the card has the same stat efficiency as previously due to the cost decrease. The splash reduction is a direct nerf, but the removal of S & M-knockback is actually a buff. LSS would frequently knock back units, particularly S-squads, so far that it and other splash cards could no longer damage them. Additionally, there is a hitbox bug with flying S-units which makes it so that when they are knocked back their "click-box" extends over a massive radius. This issue was a major problem for LSS which is supposed to move around the camp to stay safe and to damage enough targets, as the player could no longer click a location to move, but now only press "attack" on the displaced S-unit."
The crystal is being changed to either heal or increase movement speed, with the pointless spawn zone effect being removed. By allowing it to vacuum up Revenants, we add strong synergy with both Lost Warlord's new ability and Lost Evocation. This means that LSS will scale in strength the more a player invests into Lost Souls.
     Lost Warlord:
    1. New passive, "Undying":
       A. Blessed Undying (b): The unit's revenant form spawns with an Ice Shield that absorbs up to 3000 damage. The Ice Shield refreshes every 25 seconds.
       B. Infused Undying (r): The unit's revenant form deals 50% more damage.
    2. Onslaught rework:
       A. Remove affinity
       B. Provides ground presence.
       C. New effect - "Activate for Lost Warlord to project a revenant of himself to a destination within a 40m range. This revenant provides ground presence, has no abilities, and lasts for 25 seconds. Reusable every 30/25/25/25 40/35/35/35 seconds."
With these changes, we hope to make Lost Warlord into the ultimate Lost Souls card, with a heavy focus on Revenants that synergizes with Nether Warp for quick movement of armies. We view this violation of fundamental game principles to be justified by the card's high orb restrictions and the recognition that by T4, the exploits enabled by teleporting ground presence are largely moot. The blue affinity is being buffed to have a refreshing Ice Shield for when players use cards like Lost Banestone and Revenant's Blessing to extend Revenant life times. This should help to equalize the two affinities.
     Overlord:
    1. Blood Share:
       A. Life point cost: 1000 life points ➜ 1500 life points
       B. Healing: 1500 life points ➜ 1500 life points, up to 7500 in total
       C. Cooldown: 5 seconds ➜ 30 seconds
       D. Ability cost: 0p ➜ 20p
This change makes Overlord's "Blood Share" work similar to Forest Elder's "Forest Charm" in that it heals the group and the individual in different amounts. The goal here is to allow Overlord to function more fully as a sustain tank for the units it is protecting, as it already does for itself. This will help it to support army-based Shadow compositions, such as Shadow Worms, which is important because Overlord is the only melee Shadow unit in T4.
     Twilight Pestilence:
    1. Power cost: 150p ➜ 120p

Thanks @Majora for your explanation. I was also there when the servers were shut down, so I know the feeling, i think its also nice for the devs to look back and think about what you've achieved so far. The game is currently imo in the best state it has ever been in. Very inspiring what you guys are doing, looking forward to everything you have planned.
Oh and of course, thanks for everything!

For example, if it steal a tier 4 unit with 10 population cost, you loose 10 population for the entire game. If 2y then 20 your max population will be 100 for the rest of the game. Is it ok?

    Greetings Skylords!
A new month; a new Community Update! It's time to bring you up to speed with everything going on in Skylords Reborn!

    • Patch Overview Video
Our latest patch, Nature's Awakening, has released! We have made a short overview video to celebrate the occasion, highlighting some of the changes we have made to the game. We hope you enjoy it, and be sure to share it with your friends!

If you want to read the full patch notes, you can find them here.

    • Patch Feedback Thread
As always, we highly value your feedback on the changes implemented in our latest patch. To facilitate this, we have once again created a dedicated feedback thread where you can express your thoughts about what you liked, disliked, and any other suggestions you may have.
We kindly request that you provide constructive feedback regarding aspects you would like to see improved, while also sharing the elements you enjoyed. Your input is invaluable to us!

    • Voice Acting – Apply Now!
Back in October 2021 we initiated the search for voice actors to enhance the game with new voice lines. The new cards Amii Paladin and Banzai Lord were voiced by community members, bringing these characters to life. At that time, we had plans to expand the range of voice lines in the game further. Unfortunately, due to the absence of an audio editor, we faced limitations in what we could achieve, resulting in the regrettable need to even reject fully recorded lines. Consequently, voice-acting was temporarily put on hold.
However, we are delighted to announce that we now have an Audio Editor on our team, and with our current focus on creating new campaign maps, we are once again actively seeking individuals who are interested in contributing their voices to Skylords Reborn!
We are looking for a variety of voices (both male and female), and encourage everyone who is interested (and has a decent microphone!) to apply. You are also welcome to apply if you did so in the original application round in 2021!
To apply, fill in a brief survey to provide us with some information about yourself and select which characters you are interested in. We will be in touch with you for a trial script, and select our favourites from the provided recordings.

Don't miss your chance to make a lasting impact on Skylords Reborn! Apply today and maybe your voice will be heard in the game!

    • Art Spotlight – Bedrock
In our Stonekin Deep Dive, we previously mentioned our plans for a new tier 4 Stonekin unit based on the Moloch model. Today, we are excited to offer you a sneak peek of this unit by unveiling the artwork we have created for it. Additionally, we would like to share some insights into the process our artist, Spirit Alpha, went through to achieve the final result.

    Sketch and Early Draft
Spirit Alpha initiates his artwork by creating a sketch or draft, outlining the general ideas to establish the artwork's direction. For this particular piece, we aimed to capture the essence of a formidable Stonekin creature emerging from the water.

It is important to consider the card frame when creating artwork. As you can see, while the left piece looks impressive on its own, the head partially falls off when placed within the card frame. This issue becomes even more apparent when displaying the creature type and charges in the game. This is why working with sketches and exploring various compositions is crucial before settling on a final design in Skylords Reborn.

    Settling on a Design
Spirit Alpha explored several other options, some of which are highlighted below, while receiving feedback and suggestions from our art critiques along the way.

The design on the right showcased the most potential, and work continued with that version.

    Finalizing the Design
Although we were fond of the design, feedback indicated that the head of the creature should be tilted to the right instead of the left.

Throughout the process, Spirit Alpha also experimented with various designs for the creature's belly, ranging from a nearly fully closed appearance to a more open one.

    Colour Scheme
Ultimately, we opted to retain a more closed design, and significant effort was invested in ensuring that the card followed the Stonekin colour scheme, preventing it from potentially resembling a Frost unit.

    Final Adjustments
Spirit Alpha submitted his final design, and our lead artist, Tweeto, made some last minor adjustments to produce the final artwork. One of the modifications involved tilting the "volcano" slightly to ensure it remained within the card frame. Can you identify the other changes?

    Here are Tweeto's final adjustments:
We are extremely pleased with the final outcome of Bedrock and sincerely hope that you can appreciate the dedication and effort that went into its creation. A heartfelt appreciation goes out to Spirit Alpha for his hard work!

    Map Infos:

Lyrish Uprising (made by @Hrdina_Imperia) :

When Rogan Kayle was crowned as the new king, there remained several factions in Lyr that refused to accept this state of affairs. Taking advantage of this discontent, the rogue Dreadnought incited a rebellion in the city of Mraz, quickly overwhelming those still loyal to the new king and his Skylord allies alike. Now he is free to fulfil his true plan - to steal the divine power of the Soulstone, which resides within the city walls. This cannot stand!

An Expedition South (made by @Damo) :

Mora is a god no more - The Sundbridge Shrine was cleansed of the twilight curse and Mora's minions have been defeated.
But the star trapped in the heart of the earth, which the shrine connected to its brother in the boundless void, had already been tainted with this very curse. The worst outgrowth of this new infestation has affected a fire tribe in a distant land in the south, a tribe that worships the planet's core. It was not long before the curse spread beyond the tribe's members and plunged the whole land into darkness. A group of brave lyrish volunteers undertook an expedition south to nip this new outbreak in the bud.

Rules, Goals & How to participate
Everyone with an ingame account can participate in the event, there is no need to sign up separately In this event, you will be offered not one, but two brand new community maps - both are 2-player maps The goal is to achieve the lowest time on both maps You could also enter by submitting a replay for only one of the two maps, but this would automatically disqualify you from winning any prizes in the joint leaderboard (more on that later) There is no restriction on the difficulty of the map, but please note that any time on expert will always beat a lower difficulty, so Expert > Advanced > Standard in example: 35:21 Expert > 28:15 Advanced > 19:34 Standard An Expedition South only offers two levels of difficulty (Advanced and Expert), so any Standard run will also count as Advanced. The deadline for submitting your replays is 14 May 2023, 23:59:59 CET Banned cards:
    Amii Monument 😉
    How to play the maps:
    Submitting your Replays:
To save your contest hosts some headaches, please follow these naming guidelines:  <"expedition"/"uprising">_<difficulty>_<Minutes>_<Seconds>_Players => in example "expedition_expert_25_09_Damo_Hrdina Imperia.pmv" Please send your best replay(s) to @Damo either directly via the forum or on Discord (Damo#7332)

    Leaderboards & Prizes
There are a total of three different leaderboards for this event - one separated leaderboard for each map and a joint leaderboard for the best time on both maps combined Also there's one addtional task for each map, which is unrelated to the leaderboard If you participate with more than one teammate, only your fastest replay will count for each individual leaderboard The prizes for the per map rankings are as follows:
1st Place:           5 boosters per player
2nd Place:          4 boosters per player
3rd Place:           3 boosters per player
4th-5th Place:     2 boosters per player
6th-10th Place:   1 booster per player

The joint leaderboard, however, holds the really big prizes:
1st Place:             5 boosters per player as well as one Promo Juggernaut and one Promo Construct
2nd Place:            6 boosters per player
3rd Place:             5 boosters per player
4th-5th place:      4 boosters per player
6th-10th place:    2 boosters per player

    Example:

    Gold Chest Bonus Task:
The team that opens all 6 gold chests in the shortest time wins an additional 2 boosters per player Due to the fact that players tend to hate gold chest related event objectives, it is not necessary to open the chests to win boosters from any of the previous leaderboards Since only your fastest replay with a given partner will be included in the leaderboard, only that replay will be used to determine the fastest opened gold boxes Random Booster Draws:
For each map ranking, 8 boosters will be randomly awarded to players below 10th place on the leaderboard

    Patch #400041
We're happy to share a small but enjoyable update with you, featuring new content and bug fixes. In this update, we've added the time-limited "Bunny Brawler" Easter Achievement, which unlocks a unique cosmetic banner when you win on the new community map "The Easter Tree". Prepare to hop into action as a Skybunny in our egg-citing event, where you have to push an egg to return it to the Easter Tree as quickly as possible! We hope you appreciate these improvements and have fun with the new content!

    General Changes
Introduced a new Easter Achievement, "Bunny Brawler", which requires winning on the new community map "The Easter Tree" to unlock a unique Easter cosmetic banner. The new and existing Easter achievements will be active from now until April 15th, 2023, at 23:59 UTC. Changed the mission outcry subtitles setting to be active by default on initial game launch, and changed it for all existing players. This can be toggled off at any time in the game tab of the options menu. Changed the friend list to display only online friends by default. Added a new map script "CutsceneCameraPlayAdvanced" with identical functionality to "CutsceneCameraPlay" but the addition of a player-specific tag to exclusively display it for that player. Syntax: CutsceneCameraPlayAdvanced ({Camera = "", TargetTag = "default", Player =""}) Added various objects and units related to this year's Easter event, which can now be used by everyone for community map-making.
    General Fixes
Fixed an issue where re-rolled quests occasionally provided incorrect BFP rewards. Added an error message for empty deck imports. Resolved incorrect tooltip displays for Locked/Info/Price icons related to cosmetics. Implemented an experimental fix for the invisible Nightguard and Storm Singer issues. Addressed lighting problems with flight blocker objects.
That's all! See you in the Forge, Skybunnies!

    Greetings Skylords!
A new month; a new Community Update! It's time to bring you up to speed with everything going on in Skylords Reborn!

    • Huge Announcement

Today, we have a very special surprise for you! Many have requested Skylords to be available on other platforms besides PC. After years of hard work, we are super excited to bring Skylords to the palm of your hand!

    • Upcoming Lost Souls Changes

Recently, we shared our Stonekin Deep Dive, giving you a sneak peek at the changes coming to the faction. It is only fitting for the Lost Souls faction to mess with the timeline, resulting in their balance changes actually releasing before our Stonekin rework.
Over the past few months, we have been hard at work on the Lost Souls faction, tackling many of their issues and finding design space to improve the feel of the faction as a whole.
We have enlisted the help of @Volin and @T1421 (Ultralord) to give you an overview video of some of the changes coming to the faction. Please take a look!
We hope you are excited about these changes! Here are some of the concrete changes coming to the faction:
Lost Banestone - Lost Banestone is receiving one of the largest reworks. The building's aura have been reworked and now indefinitely extend the lifespan of friendly revenant's in a 30m radius. This makes it ideal for turning your leftover T2 units into a free defensive force. Additionally, its ability no longer prevents enemy spawns. It now damages a target enemy, and if that enemy dies during the duration, a Lost Shade revenant spawns out of its remains under the player's control. This allows Banestone to slowly grow its revenant defensive force over time.

Lost Warlord - Lost Warlord's Onslaught ability and affinities have received major changes. Onslaught no longer teleports Lost Warlord. Instead, it spawns a revenant of Lost Warlord within a 40m radius. Additionally, the Fire affinity now provides all revenants spawned from Lost Warlord a +50% damage bonus, while the Frost affinity provides the unit's revenants a strong 3000 strength Ice Shield that refreshes every 25 seconds.

Lost Spirit Ship - Lost Spirit Ship has received a number of changes to its stats, alongside a cost reduction to 230p. Most importantly, its Recycling ability is now capable of working on revenants and buildings. This synergizes strongly with revenant generating abilities such as Lost Warlord's new Onslaught ability, as well as Lost Banestone and Lost Evocation. These changes will help Lost Spirit Ship to better fulfil its role as a hybrid damage dealer and supporter in pure Lost Souls decks, while remaining useful on its own.

Ethereal Storm - In its unchanged state, Ethereal Storm remains one of the worst cards in the game with poor payoff, high requirements, and bug-riddled functionality. We are reducing the spell's requirements so that only one revenant is required in the area to achieve its full effect, doubling its charges from 8 to 16, and reducing the power costs. The spell's damage has also been substantially buffed to 100 damage/sec with new affinity effects. The Fire affinity causes enemies to receive 20% more damage, while the Frost affinity removes the damage reduction from frozen enemies in the area.

General Changes - In addition to these major reworks, we have several other buffs. Lost Priest's debuff has been increased, and it can now affect up to 10 targets with a larger cast range. Revenant's Blessing has received numerous buffs, including to its radius, affinity effects, and charges. Lost Evocation's Fire affinity now increases allied unit damage by +100%, up from +50%. Finally, the power cost of Revenant's Doom now scales by tier. The ability now costs 75% of the power cost of Tier 2 units, 65% of the power cost of Tier 3 units, and only 50% of the power cost of Tier 4 units.
    Envisioned Playstyles:
Tier 2: Lost Shades will be the primary PvE unit, which will be supported by buffs to Lost Priest and Revenant's Blessing.
Tier 3: Lost Banestone will allow the player to maintain their revenant army of Lost Shades from as a static defensive army, as well as replace losses through its new Underworld Gate ability. For easy maps, players can continue with their army of Lost Shades, but otherwise they can transition into using Lost Horrors like currently. Ethereal Storm is being buffed to work with only 1 Revenant and will provide a good AoE damage spell which is currently lacking in Lost Souls. The red affinity will amplify damage, while the blue affinity will allow the player to bypass freeze's damage reduction.
Tier 4: Lost Evocation(r) will be buffed to enable the unit-based damage playstyle of Lost Souls while the blue affinity will continue to provide strong sustain through damage reduction. Evocation and Lost Warlord's new ability will be able to be combined with Lost Spirit Ship, which can now recycle Revenants as well as buildings. This gives the player the choice between extending Revenant lifetimes or utilizing their remaining life points as fodder for LSS's Crystal ability. Lost Dragon will be useful as a support unit. We are also working to add @UltDragon's Lost Obelisk card from the card creation contest into the game, more on that later!

    • New Card Reveal: Sleet Storm

While we have shifted our focus to map-related content, there are still new cards in development, one of which we can reveal today! Take a look at the upcoming new card Sleet Storm.
Please note: We are still testing the card. While we are generally happy with it, numbers and effects might still change before release.

Sleet Storm is a new tier 3 frost spell that can fit into multiple decks, requiring only 1 frost orb. The card will be Uncommon and will not have different affinities. The effect is as follows:

    Heavy Rain
Covers an area of 15m radius in freezing rain that fetters enemies to the ground. Enemy ground units which stay in the area for 5 seconds are rooted for 15 seconds, while flying units are enchained to the ground and can no longer move. Ground units will be able to attack it while it is bound. After the effect ends, targets are immune to root and Gravity Surge respectively for 10 seconds. Lasts for 10 seconds. Reusable every 20 seconds.
While our changes to Pure Frost over a year ago have proven to be a success, one of the persistent issues we have faced is making it worthwhile to invest in only one or two Frost orbs. This card is intended to provide a reason for players to splash into a single Frost orb in exchange for receiving access to an area of effect Gravity Surge spell. In order to make the card effective even in cases where enemy flies might be lacking, we also attached a rooting effect for ground units. The effect itself synergizes perfectly with Frost's Construct, which also only requires one Frost orb. Overall, this card should provide a boost to archetypes which struggle with flying units, even ground melee decks which we have been trying to improve for more general usage in PvE.
Sleet Storm is planned to release in our next patch.

    • Art Spotlight: Sleet Storm

For the artwork of Sleet Storm, we used ArtRhino's old wallpaper as a base. You can see his wallpaper for Cold Snap below.

To utilize this base, our artist @Tweeto first aligned it in a 1:1 ratio required for card artwork. Then, he auto-filled the empty areas, corrected the colours, added hue shifts in the background, and multiple missiles to accurately depict raining, more in line with the spell's description. (1)
Afterward, Tweeto added more details to the foreground by covering it with Smokey Snow (2).

Although we liked the direction it was taking, there were still some aspects to address. Version 2 depicted the units completely frozen, which was not entirely accurate. Also, it was not clear enough that it was raining in the artwork, rather showing the impact of a spell in the distance. To address these issues, Tweeto made some additional changes, resulting in version 3. Here, only the legs of the units were frozen, indicating that the affected units could still fight.
However, the artwork still did not adequately depict the effect of the spell on flying units, a crucial element of the spell. With Gravity Surge already depicting a dragon being pulled to the ground, we thought it would be interesting to show a different model falling to its presumed doom. The final artwork version shows Spitfire caught in the rain.

    • Team Changes

We are happy to announce two new members joining our team. After they contributed so much to the game already, we decided to create a proper staff role for both @Titan and @CrazyCockerell, who have joind our team as Tech-Artist!
Both will help us out with spell animations, adjustments to models, and other visuals that come with adding and changing cards. You will already have seen some of their work in action, f.e. Wasteland Terror (CrazyCockerell) and the raven effect from the ability of Raven Archwalker (Titan). We are looking forward to their creations!

    • Contribute

We have made a name change to one of our critical roles in the project. We noticed a lot of people were not applying for the role of Balance Developer because they thought they had to have development experience, which is not the case. Additionally, players thought balance developers are the ones who adjust the balance of the game. While that is technically true, because they are the ones who adjust the card values for implementation, the Game Designers are the ones who make the actual balance decisions. To more clearly communicate what the role is about, we have changed it to "Card Implementer".
As a Card Implementer, you will be able to help out Skylords Reborn by making the needed adjustments to cards, either for balance purposes or completely new cards. This is a very important role that can really make a difference in our patching schedule, so if you are interested, please check out the position.

Skylords Reborn is a community-driven project fuelled by the passion and dedication of over 30 volunteers. We are always on the lookout for like-minded individuals. If you have a passion for gaming, programming, design, or marketing, we invite you to take a look at our open positions!

    Hello Skylords,
the rpve event "Stonekin Hunt" has come to an end and I want to thank you for the overwhelming participation 🥳
In total we received 47 submissions, 41 of them  valid. One team played the wrong map and 5 did not open the chests - you really want me to repeat this once again, don't you?

    From that 47 replays were
2 played as trio 2 played as duo 4 played solo! Yes, solo! I have a replay for each color - sadly only one of them is valid.
Overall 107 (!) unique people participated in the event - that is amazing!

Thanks to multi-participations of some people a lot of Boosters can not be given out to the top 21 ranks (upper 50%, we rounded up) -> This means we have one guaranteed Booster for all people that sent in a valid replay.
23 Booster will go into a random draw between all the 107 players and in addition we draw the 5x 500 BFP from Bengel among the lower 50% of ranks.

    And now some fun facts:

If we just look at the 4-player runs in the top 10 (yes, there is one non-4-player run up there) we see that
Fire started to 89% in the upper positions Frost started to 78% in the upper positions Shadow started to 78% in position 3 Nature started to 89% in postion 4 Overall Frost and Fire are mostly playing together and are pretty dominant in the upper spots, while Shadow and Nature care for the lower side.
To learn why tune in on our stream on friday Date: 31.03.2023 19:00 CEST Ultralord @Twitch

The stream will include top runs, quiz questions (with prizes!) and some more interesting data from the event!
    See you on friday!

I start preparing something like this (as downloadable open source application), is it worth finishing?
    few bugs:
    - "DifficultyID:" is not filled for rPvE
    - "GroupCount:", "DifficultyID2:", "Playtime2:", "PlayModeID2:", "PMVPlayerID2:", "ActionBlock:", "Unknow3:", "Unknow4:", "MatrixCount:", "TeamCount:" seems useless and confusing
    - What even is "Unknow3:", and "Unknow4:"? I was not able to find matching values in the file
    - "GameVersion:" should be 4 bytes earlier, and these 4 bytes should be "Client files version" (if you would like to match terminology used by the team)
    - "WinningTeam:" shows loosing team for me
    - "MapID:" using actual map name instead of ID seems like an good idea.
    - 🤔 generating "not existing actions like "Build orb" seems weird
    - What is action "Cant get Gold"?
    - Renaming surrender to "Leave game" seems weird, because I do not need to leave the game yet
    - showing "players" like "pl_Enemy1", "pl_EnemySpawned", "pl_Player1", "pl_Player2", "pl_Player4" seems confusing, because it shows no actions for them, so maybe filter out players without actions out? or maybe better, list only human players?
    - movie_deck.pmv This replay causes error 520 which is not shown to the user, but the page is just reloaded after some time.
    I hope the "bug"/"suggestion"/"question" list isn't too long 🙂

Hello there, People of the Sky,
Since the first Battle of Tactics I provide a website, on which you could check your replay if it is valid for the event. But why stop there!
So let me share with you the: Skylords Rebore Replay Checker:
    --> https://www.t1421.de <--

On this page you can upload a replay and all information which can be read out of the file will be shown on the page.
At the moment I tested a lot with PvE replays, but PvP should work as well.
    There are tree tabs:
    1. Head:
Here you can find the main information about the game
Map name, time, game version, etc.
    2. Deck:
Here you can see the cards from the decks.
The replay files only contain the full deck of the player who saved the file
For that player, cards which has not been played will be shown in gray.
For the other players only played cards a visible.
    3. Acti: (Actions)
Here you can see all actions of all players.
In short, an action is every time you click. Like play a card, switch the gate, move a unit,…
You can filter by player and action type.

Please keep in mind, this is not an official website and I’m not part of the SLR-Team.
Some of the date could be wrong because in never encounter that specific scenario.
I will continue working on the website at some point, but I’d like to share this first version with you, since some gave me feedback, that this early version is already very useful.
I what to give a BIG THANK YOU to @Maze
I´m using his API from the SMJ-Website for Card information’s, as well as for the card images.
If you encounter a bug, feel free to contact me.
You also can request features, but implementations may take a long time.
(keep in mind I can only read date from the replay file, so stuff like “How many units died?” is not possible, because it’s calculated while you are watching the replay on your PC)
See you in the Forge 😊

    update:
    - fixed some issues with the boosters, maps and related cards features
    - removed "None" map from maps page, since it is not relevant for upgrade checking, which the maps page is intended for
    - added "Forum Link" as a filter option of the community decks to only show decks which have more info on the deck itself through the creator providing a link to the related forum post
    - added outliers option to the Short Term Buyouts chart to show ouliers (troll prices), as they are now hidden by default to not cause cause the graphs to be unusable when outliers are present (cut off values ate static for now and were chosen manually so some cards may still experience outliers, or prices that could be considered regular are cut off, like with Raven Archwalker)
    - improved caching, so most data/images should now load a lot faster
