    Hello,
    I confirm I have managed to launch the game with the above guide on Ubuntu 18.04.
    The crucial part was installing wine to the 5.0 version (currently I'm using 5.0.2). Ubuntu 18.04 has wine in the repo only in 3.6.0 version and with this one I couldn't connect to the skylords reborn server in the login in-game screen.     Although I have one more issue. Before every launch I have to remove configuration file from "~/.wine32/drive_c/users/<username>/My Documents/BattleForge/config.json" otherwise the game is crashing. Thanks to Deck on discord he narrowed the problem with the config.json, so it could be edited to the form below having the most important one (although I didn't test it because it was more convenient for me to just delete the file):

    It has been too long, soooo...... Who will win the Stress Test Open#13?
     
    Format?
    It will be a 1vs1 Double Elimination best of 3 tournament, the grand final will be best of 5 (one match, no reset). Winner and losers finals will be all played on stream.
     
    Prize Pool! (The more people participate, the bigger it will get)
    1st place  - 4000 BFP + 3 boosterpacks
    2nd place - 3000 BFP + 3 boosterpacks
    3rd place - 2000 BFP + 3 boosterpacks
    4th place - 1000 BFP + 3 boosterpacks
    5th-last place - 100 BFP + 3 boosterpacks
     
    UPDATE: After a generous donation from the devs we will have a LOT more BFP and 3 boosters for EVERYONE participating!
     
    When?
    On 19.09.20  starting on 4pm CEST(Berlin time), the stream will start about 30 minutes in advance.
     
    Organisation?
    The tournament brackets will be on Challonge, so register and join the tournament there. Please use your in game account name to make communication and finding your enemy easier.

    Rules!
    -No bugabuse, cheating or insulting the other players. Penalties may vary from a warning to default loss.
    -Disconnection during a game results in a default loss. If both sides agree it is possible to have a remake.
    -Not showing up to your match with after 15 minutes results in a default loss. The plan is to play a round of matches every ~30 mins.
    -After your match go to Challonge and insert the result. That is done by clicking on your match and selecting the winner/stats . The brackets will be updated automatically.
    -The Map Pool is: Haladur, Simai, Wazhai, Elyon, Lajesh, Uro and Yrmia (same pool as in ranked duel). The first match of the round will be played on Haladur, then it is losers choice. Second round will start with Simai, third one... you get the drill.
    -The brackets for the tournament will be shuffled before the tournament starts.
    -As an experiment, no T1 Towers will be allowed in this tournament (Mortar, Phase, Ice shield, Primal Defender). Other supportive stuctures (like Ice barrier) are free to use.

    Some good stuff in this thread. Just gonna add my two cents here:

    There's a lot of comparison going on with the new and old system, but the fact of the matter is, there was barely an "old system". It was purely supposed to be a placeholder, with accelerated progression and rewards as expressed in the booster in 30 mins that was just arbitrarily created without much thought. Alas, with how the project progress turned out, and bigger priorities, we had that up as a placeholder for way too long, that now it feels like a standard that you compare new things to.
    Secondly, you are comparing the new rewards with the current market prices, which is a fallacy in itself, because it is generated from the old economy with the old system. There's alot of people who have acquired all the cards they could have wanted, and do not actively participate in the market place anymore, decreasing the supply of cards, causing hyperinflation of prices, and a certain monopoly in some cards, where new sellers can set whatever price they want, which generates alot of fluctuation. This economy could for example look drastically different with a reinvigorated playerbase, and a healthy marketplace environment.

    Thirdly, similarly with calculating the "worth of a booster" is a very delicate thing, since that too depends on the supply and demand of a card. As prices rise in AH, a booster will also rise in value, which should stimulate more people to buy boosters. Pure boosters should not be easily dismissed for this reason, as alot of pure cards are also very high in value. We need to make some kind of price difference between all cards boosters and specific boosters or no one would buy the other. Now the actual price difference itself is still very much up for debate of course.

    I hope i shed some light on some matters, and implore you guys not to give up on us yet! This is the very first iteration of a brand new untested system. Please don't be too harsh with us!

    Honestly i havent played currently cuz i wanna wait for a stable release and the progress will be reset at that time, so im pretty sure there's lots of other ppl like me out there.
    What i mean by that is, dont think ppl have lost interest, trust me when u release 1.0 version and somehow make a big deal of it so ppl like me get noticed u'll have alot of players that day

    First off, thank you all so much for showing up to the major announcement stream hosted today! We couldn't be more grateful for all your support over the years. For those of you who haven't been able to see it, here's a brief recap and a very important announcement:
    You can re-watch the stream to catch up over here! We have released a huge update to live servers! This includes the following: 12-player maps are now a thing! We finally got them to work. 2vs2 Ranked is now also a thing! Lots of QoL changes to the Auction House, like refresh rates, setting up multiple auctions at once, and 48h auctions. The ability to play cards from the marketplace in the forge without actually owning them New faction boosters that will help increase your odds for cards of a faction that you like! All 2-color and pure factions now have their own separate boosters costing respectively 475 and 500 BFP. New BFP system that replaces the 30m free booster quest. This system will allow you to earn BFP over time rather than hitting a wall after 30m of play, and will allow those with jobs or less time on their hands to catch up on others in order to give them a chance at auctioning and partaking in the economy. For more details on the BFP system and how it works, check out its most recent thread here. BFP and quests that are missed can be stored up to 3 days (6 quests max, 550 BFP stored max, 100 per day.) Numerous fixes and improvements Please check out this thread for all the details and full patch notes!  We're going to get a brand new updater in the near future, which gives easy access to things such as server selection, the map editor, social links, and much more! Check it out on-stream! PvP players rejoice! We're planning to introduce several pre-built decks to PvP that will be level 120, fully upgraded and charged to get the full PvP experience of being on the same level as your opponents. In the meantime, you can use your rewards earned through PvP to collect and build other decks or refine your current one. These decks cannot be used in PvE. And last, but certainly not least, we are proud to announce the following: We have finally progressed far enough to announce a release time!
    Skylords Reborn 1.0 will be released in Q4 2020! Along with one and only reset.
    That's October, November or December, depending on how well we progress and how many bugs and difficulties we still encounter. We are confident we can actually get this done in time, after many years of holding back on release dates. 
    Recently, our developers @fiki574, @Aviat0r, but most notably @Ladadoos and @Zyna, have done massive work towards the project, as you can see, and thanks to them we have come very far throughout the past few months despite losing a great help to the project, Kubik. We've made a lot of progress too on design decisions thanks to @MephistoRoss and @Ultrakool and of course we wouldn't be anywhere without your support, be it through helping us by reporting bugs, by supporting us on Patreon, or just for sticking along this long!

    It's coming, the day we have all been waiting for
    Amazing seeing the progress in the last months. Thougt it would take a lot of time after loosing Kubik, for working into what he did and maybe slowing down because one that took big effort and time into it is never easy to replace... but the opposite happend. You worked fast into it, didn't go low on morale and pushed on, even faster and better. Got a lot of respect for that. Strange sometimes how some negative looking events can do a positive effect sometimes
    Now i wait this little time left, beeing excited and gratefull that i will see this day. Thank you so much for the great news.

    You make good points right there. Of course i compare the "old system" to the new system because its the only comparision we got. My concern is that it wont be easy to get started, so we need to find a way to make that a little bit easier. In adittion we need too tune the times in which you are able to get your rewards and add something to them (maybe the achievements can help with this) to get a healthy economy started. I like the catchup mechanic but it feels like players who play alot are not getting the deserved lead. This may sound weird but if i want to grind the game after the reset in every free minute i got i should be able to reach more than there is currently possible. Thats just my opinion. I do not want to sit around and complain, i want to be part of the solution. I will put my mind into this and try to propose some possible changes soon. maybe you like some of it. I will keep in mind your reasoning behind the system.

Thanks to your help, we are able to give you all of the following new and improved features: - You no longer need to restart BattleForge if you enter the wrong password - Lots of other bug fixes - New Boosters - 12 player maps - 2v2 Ranked - A new system for earning BFP - A huge overhaul of the Auction House! We will be live on Twitch this upcoming Sunday on 9th August 2020 at 19:00 CEST before the patch comes out. Please note that we are still in the Open Stress Test, and this is not the release yet. However, there will be a very important announcement in regards to the release and reset you are waiting for.     - Added new daily reward and reserve system for gaining daily BFP.
    - Added daily booster discount after playing for a certain amount of time.
    - Added new faction boosters to the store.
    - Added 2vs2 ranked matches. 
    - Added 12player PvE matches. Keep in mind 12 player matches only reward gold.
    - Added randomly generated maps to the ranked PvP maps pool.
    - Added ability to click on cards in the marketplace in order to play them in the forge.
    - Increased auction amount to 100 per player.
    - Added option for 48 hour long auctions.
    - Removed the starting 2.5h playtime quest completely.
    - Decreased required amount of ranked pvp matches to reach 100% activity from 30 to 15 matches per month.
    - Adjusted required ranks for purchasing upgrades: the required ranks are 1, 4 and 5 for upgrade 1, 2 and 3, and is the same for all rarities.
    The required rank can either be your PvE rank, or your highest PvP rank.
    - Added 'Suggested Decks' button in the lobby to view and select the decks you most recently used for a map.

    - Added daily booster discount after playing for a certain amount of time.
    - Added new faction boosters to the store.

    - Added randomly generated maps to the ranked PvP maps pool.

    Hello Skylords  We have BIG news. The HUGE update you've all been waiting for, is coming to the LIVE server this Sunday 9th August 2020. Currently all changes we've done in the past weeks were only available on the test server. We greatly appreciate all of your effort in regards to reporting bugs and other issues. Thanks to your help, we are able to give you all of the following new and improved features: - You no longer need to restart BattleForge if you enter the wrong password - Lots of other bug fixes - New Boosters - 12 player maps - 2v2 Ranked - A new system for earning BFP - A huge overhaul of the Auction House! We will be live on Twitch this upcoming Sunday on 9th August 2020 at 19:00 CEST before the patch comes out. Please note that we are still in the Open Stress Test, and this is not the release yet.     General changes/features
    - Added new daily reward and reserve system for gaining daily BFP.
    - Added daily booster discount after playing for a certain amount of time.
    - Added new faction boosters to the store.
    - Added 2vs2 ranked matches. 
    - Added 12player PvE matches. Keep in mind 12 player matches only reward gold.
    - Added randomly generated maps to the ranked PvP maps pool.
    - Added ability to click on cards in the marketplace in order to play them in the forge.
    - Increased auction amount to 100 per player.
    - Added option for 48 hour long auctions.
    - Removed the starting 2.5h playtime quest completely.
    - Decreased required amount of ranked pvp matches to reach 100% activity from 30 to 15 matches per month.
    - Adjusted required ranks for purchasing upgrades: the required ranks are 1, 4 and 5 for upgrade 1, 2 and 3, and is the same for all rarities.
    The required rank can either be your PvE rank, or your highest PvP rank.
