Greeting fellow Linux Skylords,
I wrote a little shell script that replaces the launcher.
To use it, just put the attached file next to the "SkylordsRebornUpdater.exe" and run it.
Finally, launch "BattleForge.exe" manually instead of the launcher.
You may have to add the "-online" option, e.g. "wine Battleforge.exe -online".
Have fun playing Skylords Reborn without all those .NET related launcher issues 🙂
Update 5. Mar. 2025: This script is now available in an updated version at github.

Thank you for your contribution and for taking the initiative to support fellow Linux players with the shell script!
After discussing with the team, I wanted to let you know that we've removed the script from your post for security reasons. However, understanding the value of your work, we've ensured that the script is still accessible. It's now accessible via the updater and is also linked in the download forum post.

update:
- updated card redirect functionality from "smj.cards/card?code=[code]" to "smj.cards/card?id=[id]" where "[code]" used to be a deck code and "[id]" can be either a SMJ ID or an official Card ID
- fixed an issue with the long term charts (but the delay when clicking on a card from the main page still occurs, sadly)
- added functionality to set the quality of fullCard and full deck images rendered on the server
Side note:
I moved everything to a different hoster that provides 4x CPU Cores, 8x RAM, 12x Storage for the same price. This allows for more computation heavy functionalities, like rendering full deck images instead of basic ones as well as more frequent and automatic notables updates. 🙂

Masters of the Forge will shine a light on all those people working so tirelessly on Skylords Reborn - for the average Skylord, [Game Masters] are elite, mythical creatures too many know nothing about, and we will hopefully change that. So, in this dev-talk-like podcast series we will meet several Masters of the Forge in person, and hopefully I will be able to ask them questions that are interesting to you. And, you will also get the chance to ask them some questions! The series will be streamed on Twitch and afterwards uploaded on YouTube.
Please note that while the content created is supported by the SR Team and will be all about Skylords Reborn, this is no official event or dev-talk. The focus will be around the guest, what their duties are, how they feel about the game and its development - we will not elaborate future changes in depth or announce anything fancy. But hopefully we will know more about the guest and how It's like to be part of the SR Team.
As my fourth guest, I invited [GM] @RadicalX, Game Designer; who is (together with the other designers) responsible for the development of cards and balance, and of course also well known as the Chuck Norris of PvP and crushing records in the speedrunning rankings.

I think it is worth mentioning here that after community feedback and playtesting, that we have decided to change the Stonekin card which we announced last month, Tectonic Shift, to also affect Frost and Nature buildings. In terms of Bedrock itself, this will open up access to Worldbreaker Gun and Stronghold, in addition to Deepgorge and Stone Launcher, as good companion towers for Bedrock's "Living Rampart" ability.

Envenom red is " normal "damage, Envenom purple circumvents shields.
Same goes for spirit hutners (green) vs purple. Purple circumvents buffs.
Test target_ war eagle +T2 area ice shields (in the forge):
Spirit hunter purple + envenom purple damage stacks. (works as it should)
BUT when i apply envenom red first and then spirit hutners purple attack them, then a bug occurs:
1) there´s no damage circumventing the shield(from the spirit hunters purple poison attacks)
2) im not even sure if the poison of the spirit hunter (purple) gets applied at all.
Without envenom applied: Spirit hutner purple circumvents the shields as usual. So the combination is causing an issue.
Btw i havent tested yet if the same goes vice versa for spirit hunter (green) and envenom (purple). But i suspect the system can´t handle both kinds of applied damage calculations of "posion" damage ticks somehow, if they are not based on the same direct/circumvented damage category???
Update:
Envenom (purple) first applied and spirit hunters green (follow up attack) allow both damage ticks to occur:
Envenoms damage attackign the hp bar directly and spirit hutners green damage the shields.
So it´s defnitly possible for the system to apply both different kind of poison over time effects.
The issue is envenom red
(first applied) envenom red + spirit hunter purple= only normal damage, no circumvented occurs (Bug)
spirit hutner purple first and then envenom red= only circumvented damage occurs (Bug)
only spirit hutner purple first (no envenom red)= very similar if not the identical amount of circumvented damage (= same damage as combo of both)
But: envenom red(applied first)+ spirit hunter green= damage stacks (works ) ; same stackign resutls as purple+purple

This took forever, with so many tries to get the strategy worked to reach the final island - just to get trashed there so easily by what is awaiting. I hope if anybody else ever did this before, they found a better strategy, this is just madness.
But after a while - and this means weeks of trying - you get to the point where you dont need good RNG, just not bad RNG (speaking of Ravenship spawns).
And then you have to find out the hard way how the final boss spawn mechanic works, and it always takes an hour to have a shot at it - if you even make it there. With bad Ravenship spawns in between, where you waste more time.
I will not get into all other details. Just. Let. It. Be. You will waste so much time. You have been warned.

Dont try this at home. Dont try it at your friends house. Just leave it alone.
This took forever, with so many tries to get the strategy worked to reach the final island - just to get trashed there so easily by what is awaiting. I hope if anybody else ever did this before, they found a better strategy, this is just madness.
But after a while - and this means weeks of trying - you get to the point where you dont need good RNG, just not bad RNG (speaking of Ravenship spawns).
And then you have to find out the hard way how the final boss spawn mechanic works, and it always takes an hour to have a shot at it - if you even make it there. With bad Ravenship spawns in between, where you waste more time.
I will not get into all other details. Just. Let. It. Be. You will waste so much time. You have been warned.

I'm not from the team, but what I can add as an insight is that a T4 Amii unit was one of the platinum winners at the card creation contest. Since the jurors were the designers back then, I guess they basically agree on your stated "need for a t4 unit" 😃

for said feature to be useful, something similar to the export deck functionality needs to be implemented ingame first, otherwise it would be too tedious for the user to handle updating and for me to code a more complex update functionality. 🙂
